We were watching a movie while I was re-signing-up...it was this or Ripper or Mandrake...this one sounded the funniest. Didn't put a whole lot of thought into it.
I couldn't imagine you as anyone but Buck. I was lurking on the site and forums since clutchcity.net. I worked with @andymoon (who has since changed his moniker) and would constantly see him on the forums getting twisted up by arguments in the D&D. He was on the BBS so much that our boss would complain about it, but never really did anything since Andy got his **** done on time. I officially joined up one day when I wanted to discuss some Rockets related crap and found the hangout was more to my taste for casual internet garbage than other forums of the time.
I was signing up for an account, looked over at the TV, and just as I did the opening credits for Happy Days came on.
I stole mine, because it stands out in even small size. Mine is all about the social media engagement strategy of standing out in a sea of none-sense
Great thread -- really enjoying these stories. On my avatar: Would you I once stood at a payphone trying to conduct an important piece of business in the fledgling semiconductor industry, and I had this idea of phones people could carry with them, with no tethered cables... Or, would you believe I'm actually not this old but I'm leaning into all the old jokes, especially one made by @KingCheetah back in the day. (I guess I could keep the avatar until I pretty much look like this.)
My Avatar has not aged well because of his treacherous behavior and horrible postseason play. But the picture is of an empty bag of Trolli Weird Beards that a coworker bought me because they knew I was a huge Rockets fan. They were quite tasty.
