You could roll a 13 sided dice and use it to randomly pick a member of the Sugar Land pitching staff and they would give more reliable quality competitive innings than what Lance McCullers Jr has given this season (or last season). McCullers is not a major league quality pitcher. He has been in the past and he’s being paid like one, and that is why he is given opportunities, but he is 110% cooked and likely couldn’t find success in the independent leagues.

 

15-23 after today heading to Cincy for 3. Starting catcher out for several weeks. Starting SS/3B out for the season. LMJ finished. That sums it up.

 

Dude should have been gone years ago.

No point in cutting Lance. This team isn’t competing this year. Almost the entire pitching staff needs a makeover anyway. Let him pitch out the final year of his contract. Chances are he’ll get hurt and be done before the season ends anyway.

The 13-sided dice failed when it selected Alexander, France, and Gordon based on the LMJ standard. It did a good job with Lambert and Arrigetti.

 

Only problem is that about 7 members of the SL pitching staff are already on the roster

 

Might as well let Alexander wear this one and then send him back to Sugar Land permanently.
