Espada: Correa going to see a specialist for his ankle tomorrow

That ankle cost him about 100 million bucks. I'm hoping for the best.

 

Astros need Correa back within a month. Pena is finally coming back and that will be a boost.

Meyers and Loperfido seem to always be hurt, so whatever with them.

Walker and Alvarez need some help. Paredes and Smith need to turn it on.

The Astros can DFA Diaz for all I care. Just sticking your glove out and catching the pitch doesn’t make you a big league catcher.

Hunter Brown will be a huge addition but if the Astros are not going to lose 100 games, they need Tatsuya to pitch like a big league pitcher.

If Tatsuya adjusts and pitches solid - then you have the makings of a thin but functional rotation with Brown, Arrighetti, Tatsuya, Burrows and Lambert or whomever.

I still think they would have to deal for a #2-3 starter.

Brice Matthews should be playing every day until other guys in the line up prove he shouldn’t.

 

Same ankle that he broke in the minors?

I didn't get to watch the game that he got injured in. Was there a particular play he got injured on?

This team is snakebit. Correa was on pace for a 5 win season. Losing him until July…it’s just impossible for me to see this team making the kind of run over the next 3 months that would warrant them positioning themselves as deadline buyers.

 

I just don't understand why the entire training and medical staff weren't replaced weeks ago...

I thought I saw them replace the medical staff not long ago but this is looking more like poor trainers.

Still an average or better rotation when guys come back.

The injuries just need to stop now after Correa. They need to start getting guys back.

They may need MLB to audit their training and medical people.

 

The division is just so bad that I could see them hanging around and deluding themselves into buying at the deadline.

 

Genuinely might be one of the worst swings I've ever seen a big leaguer take

 

Would like to see Shewmake replace Nick Allen. At least give him a chance to succeed or fail now that Correa is out
