Gosh I have to agree with that one. that was my very first thought when I heard about the knee

But then again Ward needs to be very careful about that soreness in his knee - he should probably stay on IR for about 3 to 4 months and recuperate....:D

I wouldn't think so. Usually, it seems like recovery from this sort of surgery is 6-8 weeks or so.

I think Duncan had a similar injury in 2000. He missed the playoffs and wasn't quite the same the next year. He was pretty much back to normal the year after that.

6 weeks to recover from the surgery, ie get off the crutches but much longer to rehab the knee back to what it once was IF he's lucky.

We are in trouble. I agree that Lue should consider getting it scoped, if that will do the trick. If he can come back before the end of the season, it's a plus for us, and a plus for him. It doesn't sound like playing through it is a serious option.

We need to make a move and get another point.

At this point what move can they really make? There's no doubt they need to address the Point Guard situation. Hopefully Bob Sura helps; but i'd be surprised if they actually did something before the offseason.

I had arthoscopic surgery and I was running around at full speed in about two weeks. The doctor I went to said the recovery time differs from person to person, but the longest the it should be is about 5 or 6 weeks. I had a extreme case where the cartlidge lodged into the joint preventing me from fully straightening or bending the leg, so I had to really work on strengthening my knee muscles to get full motion at full strength after the surgery. If he is still able to move the knee normally and it's just a minor tear in the cartlidge (which it sounds like), the recovery should be a breeze.

Typical old teams, injury after injury. JVG please stops your
    facination with old players.

I don't think they can make a move that will "solve" their PG problem, but I'm concerned about Sura, who's coming off of back surgery, and isn't shy about hitting the floor diving for the ball, and a rookie being our rotation. Ward and Lue are injured, and do we even know what Ward's problem is? Maybe it's poor play. Maybe it's poor play because of a bad knee.

I hope Sura stays healthy, and Barrett becomes "Wade Lite." That's asking for a lot.

I am talking about the team in general:

    Sura -> Ward -> Lue -> ?

    I thought Lue is 29.

THe team in general, nor its age, has nothing to do with Lue's injury.

    So what was your point?

This team in general is too old, so injuries after injuries are expected.

I like Lue. I think what he lacks in talent, he makes up in hustle and hard work. This just helps his case.

so what's JVG moniker around here again....

last year we consitently saw him walking the sideline swinging his arms at our guards to push the ball up with dribble or preferrably with a long pass

and now this.. he wishes we would run...

really wish we could dominate on the boards and then see whats happens ... ie would we actually run and then see JVG comments

get on the phones CD... we need someone who just wants to rebound, defend and make great outlet passes
