Y does everybody here keep on saying "Give it time for Yao/Tmac to Gel?"

It didnt take long for :

    Shaq to gel with Wade
Francis to gel with Grant Hill
    Boozer to gel with AK
    Nash to gel with Amare/Marion
even Odom to gel with Kobe

Yao/Tmac can't be compare to Kobe/Shaq just look at both players. Yao is soft and probably will never be as dominate as Shaq and Kobe is just more competitives and plays with way more hearts than Tmac.

Tmac doesnt even speak out to the team like Kobe or Francis does during time outs. Seems like they just play, listen to the van gundy, do their own things and walk of the court.

Tmac/Yao can't even be compare to Parker/Duncan right now.

Probably cause all the guys you named have somewhat similar playing styles/values.

*Shaq and Wade both attack the hoop relentlessly
*Franchise and Hill both play with heart and passion. They just make each other better and are trying to prove critics wrong.
*Boozer and AK both do "the little things" that players nowadays don't focus on much..rebounding, boxing out, defense
*Nash and Amare/Marion LOVE to fastbreak and score, that's how Phoenix gets you.
*Odom and Kobe...well Odom's just willing to go along with Kobe's BS ;)

I would argue that the supporting casts in those examples are much, much better than ours.

I can't wait til the day that the "time to gel" excuse isn't valid anymore. I don't see a lot of mistakes that are made due to not being familiar with each others spots or games... but i guess they are not sure about how many shots they should take individually or when to shoot it, which makes them hesitant.

TMac, the two-time league top scorer, talked to the media about HESITATION on offense.

Yao, meanwhile according to Chinese media, bursted into tears when talking about his struggle.

    Sigh.
