I don't understand why the Rockets just won't give this guy a contract and release someone who is not playing. I know you maybe a little over the cap for this year, but you have guys who are going to be off of the cap starting next year. Besides there is nothing on the Rockets' roster, that anybody else wants. So just pony-up the money for this year and cut your losses with someone else.

forgot all about Keon. Your right, he would be a good fit. Unfortunately, last I heard was that multiple teams haved tried contacting him to no avail. Seems he's doing a little Ricky Williams thing himself. (with the ganja)

keon clark with his athlethism and defense would be a great fit for this team. He's great shot blocker, great offensive and good defensive rebounder and posess some (though limited) offensive capabilites. The downside is that he has not played much in the last 2 years and somewhat of a headcase... which leads to why the rockets or anyone for that matter have yet to signed him. According to screamin steven on Nba fastbreak a few weeks back, many teams have been trying to reach him, but apparently he has not been picking up or returning any of their calls. Instead for the moment he is chilling at home content to let another season go by... so theres your answer to why

Last I heard, Keon's father was arrested on a murder charge. I would imagine Keon is probably not ready mentally to play. He kinda strikes me of being one brick shy anyways.

Too bad JVG only seek players that play fundamental and not much else. Or else he would have gotten Fisher or Troy Hudson in the summer. I think JVG needs to rethink and get someone that can contribute instead of someone that fit only into his style of play.

I think the answer could be Tyson Chander. I've been saying it for a while now. Juwan Howard back to his hometown (Chicago) and a first round pick for Chandler and FrankWilliams. In this case I wouldn't mind giving up a first round pick. Chandler is younger than Eddie Griffin and has even put up a couple of 20+ rebound games. I don't know if he has what it takes to be an enforcer next to Yao, but he could definitely provide some defense and be lethal in a transistion game (ala Amare). The Bulls get a veteran PF, but the sweetner is a #1 pick which they can use on a C for the future. I know everyone says "we'll never have a #1 pick again!" I really think getting Chandler would be like getting a #1 pick after the maturation process. Tell me what ya'll think.

agree!! chandler has what we need and he is better than cato, but i don't think chicago would want to trade with houston anymore after they just traded mutombo to us.

"One NBA general manager said he thinks there are plenty of teams interested in Curry and Chandler but acknowledged that finding the right deal could be difficult. "You want to trade young for young," the general manager said. "The time you would trade a young guy for a veteran is when you think you're close to winning. "Big guys are so hard to find. Centers are so hard to find. To give up a young big guy and not get another young big guy in return would be tough to do." -Arlington Heights Daily Herald

The reality is I would love to see us get Chandler, but the problem is the other 28 teams in the league. Somebody else will offer more for Chandler than what we can offer, I can assure you that.
