As of today, per ESPN, we have 5 DT's on our roster, 6 if we count Logan Hall. Two of them have never played in a regular season, NFL game. Starter Sheldon Rankins is 32 and is signed through 27'. Starter Tommy Togiai is 26 and is signed through 26'. Backup Naquan Jones is 28 and signed through 26.
Do you anticipate that we'll draft a DT and then release a current DT? Might we draft TWO DT's? Not counting Logan Hall, will we likely have 5 DT's on the roster when the season begins? Thanks in advance.
If it were me the Texans would be targeting 2. Personally, I would look to walk away next weekend with Peter Woods and Jordan van den Berg.

A guy like Orange has the ability to be as good as McDonald in Meco's system after he works with Wright. I love NFL Draft Buzz and use them a a reference point to watch these guys. I respect their opinions, but I go by what I see and Orange is a very talented guy too. This isn't a slight on McDonald who would be my DT1. The gap between them isn't as great as Draft Buzz makes it out to be talent wise. McDonald is just more developed at this point. But the talent is there IMHO.
