Some of the pics are just one blur. Can anybody pass on a few tips that might help me take better shots for CF.net?
Well that depends on the type of camera you have and the ability to adjust the settings manually. It seems to me that your F-stop is not allowing enough light in, to allow for the shutter speed you have selected. This is giving you the blur on the pictures. If you move the camera even a little bit with a slow shutter speed than you will get a blur. Have you ever seen pictures of night time freeways where the car lights have a streaking effect? or fireworks shows? That is due to the slow shutter speed and the positioning of the camera on a tripod. When you have less light the camera needs more time (slower shutter) to gather the shot correctly, the F stop number counters this. Digital cameras are not very reliable in low light, or indoor mood light settings. You must keep the camera stable. An SLR is better than a digital but Film will always be around for this reason. What you need to do for fast action pictures is set your shutter speed as fast as your camera allows with available lighting to capture that particular instant and not a blurred moment. The F-stop or focal point number allows for a particular amount of light into the lens giving you more options with faster shutter speeds. If you took these same pictures on a sunny day outside with a faster shutter speed they would be great shots. Let me know how its coming...feel free to ask me for some help.
2 things Get a camera that has a faster shutter speed, but keep in mind that the faster the shutter, the more sensitive it is to light. For example, if you are indoors with low light and you try to shoot a sporting event, the picture might look dim. I usually set my shutter speed to 500, during the Texans games and sometimes the pictures are still graining, but not blurry. The second thing - Sura wants to kick your ass,
You didn't actually click the link, did ya? D'anne is there... Anyway, r-fan, how about a UNI or MONO pod? Maybe a TRIPOD?
