I'm still happy we traded him, however I never had any negatives feelings towards him personally and hope he finishes a strong postseason after taking so much s**t last season.

We've seen him look like a superstar for short bursts if his shot is falling, it isn't a new development. He had a monster game mixed in the GS series last season.

How is Reed Sheppard any different, what mental gymnastics are you using..

His 1 30 point regular season game against the very same 10th seed is frequently held up as defenitive proof that Reed succeeds the same way against good competition as he does against bad teams and is this young prodigy that coach hates.

All this arguing isn’t really about Jalen or Reed, it’s just human nature. Everyone just wants to feel right and intellectually superior to the side they were arguing against and there are 1000 ways for the human brain to come up with counter arguments and justifications.

It’s way easier to do that than to admit your past opinions may have been off, they may have been more driven by emotions and cognitive bias than the pure predictive basketball knowledge genius you’d like to pretend.

Lmao then let's hope Rockets doesn't make the second round, because if they do, at least one of the players in the roster will get destroyed by okc

I know you aren't the best or brightest around here so I'll spell it out for you in as simple terms as I can manage.

Jalen is a 5th year player with nearly 11000 minutes played in the NBA who was given every opportunity in the world despite never earning any if it, Reed Sheppard is a de facto rookie with 2800 minutes played who almost never was given any opportunity despite earning it.

Despite that, Reed is performing better already than Jalen is overall in his 5th season... it's not just one game against the Warriors or Thunder.

Do your best when it comes to trying to comprehend that, read it back a few times if you struggle.

Jalen has had two good MEANINGFUL games back 2 back and he needs to be commended. Especially against a team that knocked him out of the Playoffs last yr.

And no matter what he does, he's going to have HATERS!

I watched the game last night and I rooted for the Suns, only because Im tired of the Warriors. However, as good as KG has been, I think the trade was a bad idea strictly because you do not trade a young player based upon his first playoff experience..... BUT THAT'S STONE!

I guess . . . I don't really see much in the way of Jalen fan boys. Not like the early Sengunatics or the criminally Linsane. Just let it go ;)

Dude is straight up r****ded trying to compare a 2nd year player getting first season of consistent minutes vs a guy that’s had 4 seasons to blossom.

And I’m defending Jalen here btw. I think he would make a great 3rd option in the right system that didn’t churn him into a tard of an offensive player

Phoenix coach is a lot smarter than Udoka so expect him to contribute meaningfully

You can't compare Reed and Jalen, completely different situations. We prioritised Jalen for 4 years, gave him every opportunity possible, and he still didn't deliver. It was time to move on, and it's for the better for both him and the Rockets.

I'm happy to see him put the nail in the Kerr Warriors era coffin, and for that I salute him(even though I would prefer he did it last year). I hope he gives OKC hell, and not go back to the 4-17 specials he regularly gave us.

I agree. Jalen is the superior athlete with processing issues, those issues are more directly addressed and improved on through raw minutes, playing time, and experience on the court.

Reed is well coached and knows how to play, his problems are physical and will be improved on with time in the gym and age and the solution isn’t as directly tied to playing time.

Read again, I just compared how 1 game against the golden state warriors can be used in wildly different ways to help back up and add proof to whatever that one specific poster wants to believe.

I kinda want him to randomly find god and retire like AJ Griffin just so his nuthuggers finally shut the f up. They're relentless. Can't take it 10 more years.
