Gentleman's sweep. There will be one blowout and one close game in Denver... until we collapse down the stretch Ime-style. Both KD and Amen will have multiple turnovers in the last 5 minutes due to Ime having already played each of them 40 minutes in that altitude. KD will hit 40 in one of our home games. A big Reed game would be possible and might get us to a sixth game, but Ime will limit him to 7 minutes each half, so that won't happen. In the 5 games the Nuggets will hit nearly twice as many 3s as us. Nevertheless, Amen will average over 20 and 10 and will be given a near-max extension despite not hitting one single 3 and not making one single difference. In the offseason we will double-down on Ime ball. Sengun, Reed, DFS, and 3 picks will be sent to the Bucks for Giannis. We'll bring in another wing like Tim Hardaway, Jr. to attempt to address the 3pt situation, but even if he's effective, there won't be enough minutes with Amen playing wing and Ime refusing to go small for more than brief stretches. Nagging injuries will keep us from home court advantage and we will lose in the 1st round again, after which both Ime and Stone will be fired. Ime will take a head coaching job in college and Stone will be out of basketball forevermore. So it is written, so it will be done.
The thing is it will be like “buT tHe 2Nd SeEd” from last year if Fraudoka beats a reeves, Luka less team. He’s not going to get the boot either way but this way the org can’t provide him with any excuses I would honestly rather go back to tanking than watchiny the games he coaches

I don't disagree, I just find it distasteful for fans to want the Lakers matchup because they're injured. That team just spanked us too. To boot, we had 2nd seed last year and got sonned by the warriors. This team better be taking real swings at actual contenders, that's how you sharpen the blade. Give us some dignity on the way out of this season by being able to say "Jokic is the goat", "we're injured". Not some tenuous, no win scenario over LA just to get throttled by the 8-on-5-Thunderreferreees.
We get that these things don’t click but the rockets are a terrible 3pt shooting team. You can’t win in the modern NBA with such few makes / attempts. It’s one of the sure ways of setting yourself up for failure. The rockets play much better when they play the 2nd best shooter on the team. a really simple concept. Maybe it will click for you one day and you’ll understand why you got the boot from your last moniker on here.
Amen is empty calories. He's hitting a bunch of singles. Meanwhile other teams are hammering us with long balls. The math is the math.

If this happens I think it will be the least interest I've ever had in the rockets since I've been following the team. What a sad future we have in front of us.

Last playoffs, I had zero faith the Rockets would advance, but was still excited to see who could step it up in the playoffs and who couldn't. My only real takeaway was Jalen wasn't it, but Amen had potential. Denver will completely crush us, so not even sure what I'm looking for this time. A lot of people have said Reed won't be playable bc his weaknesses will be magnified in the playoffs, and I guess it would be good to figure that out one way or the other. The team just seems like a mess on both ends of the court to me. I fear it's a coaching problem, but getting a point guard and something like the theory of DFS instead of the reality of DFS would probably make things look different. I guess I'll just be watching for any positive takeaways whatsoever.
The last part is what worries me the most. Doubling down on more vets and giving up our youth will cause a lot of people to lose interest unless they are absolute championship contenders from start to finish. I've said it before, but there is NOTHING less appealing than watching an old team that isn't very good.
