That's a self fulfilling prophecy if I ever saw one. Now our tax dollars get to go towards another Britney Giner case where a liberal woman intentionally defies common sense, a direct warning WITH HER NAME ON IT and needs to get bailed out by the adults.

US Journalist Shelly Kittleson Was Abducted in Iraq, Officials Say - The New York Times

The freelance journalist was identified as Shelly Kittleson, who has worked for various news organizations, including Al-Monitor, which called for her safe and immediate release.

The Iraqi ministry said that security forces had pursued the kidnappers as they fled, managing to arrest one suspect and seizing a vehicle that had been used in the abduction. The suspect is a member of the Iran-allied Kataib Hezbollah, the two senior Iraqi security officials said.

Ms. Kittleson was warned by the Federal Bureau of Investigation that her name appeared on Kataib Hezbollah plans to “kidnap or kill” her, according to Alex Plitsas, who is a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, a Washington-based research organization, and described himself as a friend. Mr. Plitsas said in an interview with The New York Times that, after that warning, she had designated him as her point of contact with U.S. officials in the case of an emergency, but wanted to continue reporting and remained in Baghdad.

I also think she was reckless and I'm annoyed that the country now faces a cost to bail her ass out. Do you know who else was reckless? Donald freaking Trump when he started a war for no good reason, put this woman in danger, and put our country on the hook to bail his sorry ass out for his terrible choices. At least Ms. Kittleson put her own skin in the game and must have believed in her mission enough that she was willing to take the real risk of death to do it, unlike Trump who will continue to live his safe billionaire life no matter how badly his choices work out.

While I don't agree with the war in Iran, there was a good reason for it. It's the culmination of 50 years of an Islamist regime wreaking havoc on all corners of the world (not only it's own citizens who hate them). We've also had statements from Rubio before Trump was elected about how dangerous it was, in addition to statements from Trump decades ago about this very issue. Now that we're over there, we have to do the job correctly and it absolutely will benefit our own economy and economic ties with the gulf region in the long run.

No one wants America to bomb the %^@# out of Iran more than Saudi and UAE, who are encouraging them to keep going and not withdraw early. So your argument doesn't really have much credibility as a "Trump only" decision.

This woman on the other hand, feels she can play God because her ideals are superior to the American government and history. She knows better than the FBI -- and if you look at in depth -- that's how the entire democrat apparatus works. That's why they saw no problems with breaking down the CIA and FBI and Army and making them about wokeism and idealogy instead of committing the task at hand. She has no actual task -- other than victimization of people who are victims of their own decisions. Even the term genocide in Gaza isn't true whatsoever based on facts --- but they've tried to normalize it as if we're in the holocaust.
