THIS proves Yao has the heart of a champion, being so down on himself for losing shows he wants to win badly.

there is no one i respect more than Yao in this game. Great role model, great guy , we need more men like him.

I think it is great that he is pissed over his mistakes and is taking responsibility for them. He wants to become a great player in this league and a player who can win games for his team. Lets just hope this can be used as motivation and not something that gets him down too much to where he loses his confidence and is trying too hard. I like the fact he aspires to be as good, or better, center as Dream & Ewing, etc; but knows that he is not anywhere close YET.

Please do not ever compare Dream to Ewing or 'etc' again. In fact, don't ever put them both in the same sentence. There was only one Dream.

    Thanks.

I also think it's good that Yao is playing with emotion. Those turnovers were indeed quite costly; the game goes into the books as a loss the same as it would if Yao had put on a mediocre performance for the entire game. Like he said, he played great for 46 minutes. And I mean, he really was great! But it's still an L in the books...

I like that Yao wants to win so badly and I'm happy he's taking responsibility for wins and losses. That's what it takes to be the Man. I'm not worried about him losing confidence; he won't get the chance. The Rockets are going to keep insisting that he take those shots. Yao has never been one to back down from challenges, but rather one to meet them. Every aspect of his career is a testament to that.

I was using Yao's words in the article. Dream was at least twice the player Ewing was so there is no argument there.

I always felt like Yao didn't really take this losses to heart. This article changed my frame of mind. I am glad he feels this way. He will try harder next time and hopefully come out on top. Good Article. He does have the heart of a champion. As painfull as it is to watch guys, these guys are learning how to win. I would much rather them be making mistakes now, then at the end of season when we really to win a game. Give it some time, it will come.

Yao only reffered, at list from the summary, to those 2 turnovers as the biggest reason we. He forgot to mention that his rebounding or lack there of (good and consistent rebounding I mean) could be easily beconsider as big if not bigger. We gave away way too many offensive rebounds and second chance point to the Kings especially late in the 4th quater.

His stamina is still an issue and I believe it is the biggest issue that affects his rebounding.

I wish Yao was crunk and a good crunchtime player. Actually, I really want to see him get some GOOD Calls DARN IT. And I want to see him stuffing people owning people throughout the game. And I want to see monster rebounds. And I want to see the Rockets winning games successfully as a team.

It's good to hear Yao 's fire and passion burn so strong that he is his own toughest critic, but Yao needs to balance things out a litlle in order to be a leader and a champion that he is. He should not be afraid to step on toes when he puts himself out on the line like that.

He should have no problem calling out his own teammates when they messed up. When they fail to get the ball into the post, when they go long stretches without getting him involved in the offense, when they turn the ball over foolishly time and time again. If JVG doesn't do it, then Yao should take the innitiative as a leader to crack that whip. I know Yao can do it, we've all seen him done it in the Olympics.

I believed we as Rocket fans need Yao to do this if we want another championship banner in the Toyota Center.

The 1st turn over is caused by Yao too eager to even the score with time winding down, the 2nd turn over is a no call (Miller chop at Yao's arm as he's putting a shot, the ball lost out of bound from Yao's hand)
