Sengun's D is something that may never get better and that will get exploited in a 5/7 game playoff series.

I also suspect that Sengun will also want to be paid for being The Man while not actually being The Man.

    We will see.

    Everybody know how Apache feels

    Trade that bum Sengun

    ____________

    1) Giannis gets a running start from mid court
    2) defense still need to build a 3-man wall near the FT line
3)KD and Amen can work off ball with that
.....a) KD above the break spacer
.....b) Amen can work the Dunker Spot
.....c) KD and Amen can work both 3-pt corners......one or other slash along baseline

    4) Amen drives, Giannis at Dunker Spot, KD above the break

    5) KD drives, Giannis at Dunker Spot, Amen at 3-pt corner
....(can still slash along baseline because Giannis can pass over the top)

    DEFENSE WILL BE FINE

I would retain Sengun until the next February deadline, or more if he gets better and consistent.
KD is efficient, but he is near retirement, therefore it’s important to trade him. Giannis for Sengun and Bari may not be enough, picks need to be added. Giannis’ presence may not be enough to make Houston a contender.

I'm sorry....but you learn how to play together. It's pretty stupid to make it an either/or situation.

Is this is a joke? I’ll take the player who is 15 years younger and won’t need an AARP card in the next decade.

Hahaha....I love the way you phrase the question!!

If they were cars, it would've been, would you like a 2000 Mercedes with 300k miles but is still running OR a 2026 Bentley fresh off the lot?? Lol

Well, I know which way you voted!

However, we all know that Bentley rarely ever get out of first gear. Alpi is not him! The only player worthy of being built around on this team is Amen.

That is not the question, we know we are keeping Amen.

The problem is really which one of KD or Alpi do we keep......

    Try to keep up.

We’ve been through all the former OKC triumvirate stars from way back with even two at one time. None of it has worked out.

Isolation play just doesn’t cut it. The loss of FVV really doomed the season. We need him back and at form to be successful while keeping both KD and Sengun for another shot at it next season. If that doesn’t work out, then blow it up again.

I would want Mike Malone to be the head coach for Sengun. If that can’t happen, then I trade Sengun for the Greek Freak.

KD has maybe 2 years left of NBA-star-level ball? That should answer the question.

I'm not building a team around an old school back to the basket post up center. Especially not in 2026.

I would say both of them play defense, but only some of the time. Having two starters who both regularly take plays off is kind of a problem though.

I think Sengun can play decent one on one defense in the post. He is not a rim protector and is too slow of foot to play the perimeter. I don’t think it’s laziness so much as physical limitations. Durant can play excellent defense when he wants to. Most of his fallacies are less about physical limitations and more about desire. He seems entitled to me. Watch what he does when he shoots a 3. Rarely gets back on defense. His age and the minutes he is playing are also a contributing factor. It must be exhausting for both Sengun and Durant to play through all the holding, grabbing, and double teams they face, because an offensively challenged coach.

KD is a cancer that needs to be removed. There were no chemistry issues until he came here. Just look how the Suns are doing this year without KD. Even if KD was not a cancer you still keep the young guy who is still a few years away from his prime rather than the guy who is almost 40.

I generally agree with this. I do think Sengun can be a passable perimeter defender and rim protector (average, but not great) when he puts in a lot of effort. Problem is he only sometimes does this either due to lack of desire or just not having enough energy left on defense. KD was once an excellent defensive player, but you're dead on that he just doesn't try hard like he used to, except occasionally.

The other thing is I think this team needs more than just average rim protection when Reed is on the court. He gets beat too often on the perimeter.

If you’re SMART, which you are and you know they are not getting rid of Amen and you should know that Amen and Sengun do not fit, so why vote for Sengun??

The problem with the Rockets is they have THREE, 3, TRES PLAYERS, who like to score in the paint, when two should be the max!

KD loves to play at the elbow, Sengun in the paint and Amen in the paint. Everybody keeps wondering whats the problem with the Rocket's offense.....WELL, THAT'S IT! Not enough outside shooters.

Just think, you have ALL three of your Top Players, who love to score inside the 3pt line. To modernize the offense and to become a better team, the Rockets have to revamp their offense.

Anyone voting for Durant should **** off to whatever team he gets traded to. Sengun helped bring this team back to relevance and Dickerson came try and burn it to the ground.

If we cant find a trading partner give him the John Wall treatment so cant stat chase anymore and I dont have to hear Hollins glaze him every ****ing game.
