Complement. Not only was it informative, because I was also stumped on your question, but it was also entertaining due to the pies. This is how all threads should be.
clove -- the problem is, in the actual instance the threat was already diminished. the bottle thrower wasn't standing right next to Artest...he was more than a few rows back. artest was pissed and reacted out vengeance. he went uncontrollably up into the stands and ended up railing on someone other than the bottle thrower, himself. the injuries weren't serious, as i understand it. none of these will be more than criminal misdemeanor type charges in that sense, i'm not even sure the district attorney will pursue them. we'll see. it's so high-profile, he may feel like he has to. i think his lawyer will really have to reach to get people to buy a self-defense argument. really reach.
Good points MadMax. I also believe if this happened in another lowprofile setting, no charges would be filed. In this case, they have no choice. I'm expecting the thrower, who was on probation, to be hit with a more severe punishment than Artest. It was fairly apparent Artest wanted revenge(don't know if apparent enough to hold in court) . Let's see how good his lawyers are. Please make this trial public Detroit! I am really curious what gets used by the defense team.
I just the the Ron Artest interview. lol, this guy has an IQ of my left butt cheek. I like to apologize to my left butt cheek. I am here trying to maybe come up with a defense for him, and he goes on air to promote his album. lol. He deserves to be punished just for being Ron Artest.
