OK, so the commercial goes like this: a guy is paying for his meal at a diner, which is actually a converted mobile home/trailer type deal. He flips over a map; the waitress notices and the wistful dialogue begins.

Waitress: "I wish I could go to California".

    Guy: "Why don't you?"

Waitress: "And leave all this" (gestures at the diner) "behind?"

Guy chuckles, walks out, hooks the diner to his big awesome truck, and drives off.

Why is OK for that guy to kidnap that waitress and the old guy that works at the diner? I mean, sure, she probably wants it, most women do, but the old guy didn't give off that "kidnap me" vibe.

Maybe the old guy's not part of the plan and they dispose of him later...? Out West, there's lots of empty stretches where you can bury a body in a shallow grave by the side of the road. Maybe that's the point they were trying to make.

And wouldn't it be a better ad if after she says, "And leave all this?" the guy got totally mad, shouted "I'LL TEACH YOU, YOU STUPID w****!!!!!", ran out to his truck, and started ramming the **** out of the diner? That would be a better ending in my opinion.

They need to do a Dodge commercial where Al Bundy gets an upgrade vehicle.

And with it being a diner for so long, there are tires on there ready to roll?

What I like about it is the moment he turns onto the main road. Trailer does a serious shimmy from one side to the other....those two inside were most likely pelted with knives and broken glass at that point.

Gonna be hard getting the blood stains out of the countertop.

I like how the trailer's electricity and gas for cooking is all completely self contained. That's a special trailer. It was begging to be stolen (much like the woman).

Ah, commercial angst. I feel your pain pretty much every time any television show goes to break. 99 percent are annoying, insulting, confusing or a combination of the three.

The TGIF commercial where the husband, wife and their kids are all their eating unknown to each other is definitely all 3.

Yes, I also hate that commercial, and if that guy does indeed come to California I will welcome him with a 2 by 4 upside his head.
