The one thing I miss about Morey is his ability to scout and find talent that fit the team

I think that’s the biggest issue during the stone era. His department jsut doesn’t find talent. Morey found Capela at the end of the first, Parsons in the second, Vin Wafer, found Landry on the bench in Memphis and eventually. Helped develop him into a starter. Carl Landry in the 2nd, Aaron Brooks at the end of the 1st round ,Beverley in Russia, traded for Scola who couldn’t get his footing the door of the nba, Danuel House, heck he even stepped out ahead of the league and made a sixth man the franchise cornerstone.

Morey and his department was good at finding pieces to the puzzle and one of them came j the lottery.


Stone on the other hand, hasn’t hit struck gold on any of his lottery picks. His free agent pickups are pitiful. Let’s not even disgust his trade deadline poise. And now we have Ime in tandem with Stone who caps us even more because he doesn’t have eye or patience for development of young players. Ime is jsut the Nigerian version of JVG. These guys don’t really believe in youth potential or the development of youth. They rather trade it away for older players or stars pass their prime JVG era transactionalways were older players favored. He had no problem playing Wesley, Juwan Howard, Jon Barry, Scott Padgett. But he couldn’t stand the thought of giving VSpan, The mayor, keeping Rudy Gay. Same thing is happening with Ime. We have talent but it needs to be realized and developed. Ime ain’t got time for that. That Crawford still hasn’t come back off the bench after giving us a spark.
