10-22 from the line in the clutch on the season… going into tonight’s game, was shooting 41% from the field in clutch time as a big man who doesn’t even take outside shots… disgusting
I'm never going to trust Sengun in the clutch, especially at the free throw line. He's mentally weak.
Haters lined up again, lol. Running here after a loss, complaining about the clutch performance, stating some stats with no context, calling the guy who takes most responsibility a mental midget. Most teams give the ball to the player who can protect the ball, who can drive to the rim, who can create his own shot, who can draw fouls like Brunson, SGA, cunningham or luka. We had a 99c version FVV and now we don't even have that. So who is to take responsibility? We could have gone the team route if we had a coach that could draw plays, but that is out of questions as well. Sengun does take responsibility as he should, and does it without a proper pg to play with. He is actually the only starter who has positive +/- at crunch time at +13, compared to KD at -27, for example. Clutch stats are very volatile because the sample size is small but now that you wanted to play that game, there is your answer. Or we could say he is around same ball park with Wemby who is at 41.9% at clutch. None of these matter though, if you can't see how much he contributes overall, that's your problem tbh.
It is funny to see same posters circlej*rking each other then argue about the non-existent SOFs on this platform. On a more serious topic, i get a sense that Ime is out on Sengun train tbh. It would be a mistake to trade Sengun in my eyes, but it is also a waste to not do that in this system. So if Rockets wants to keep Ime at the helm, i think they need to trade Sengun this off season. I believe i have seen enough and these two does not gel together. He helped Sengun to improve his defence immensely, but the offence is not working out at all. I do not expect Giannis to be better in this non-system offence as well. In time we will see that the luxurious extension of Ime this summer was a mistake.
The Dream Team would have offensive troubles on an Ime coached team. The guy is utterly clueless when it comes to offense.
gotta love when people rush to compare Sengun to Wemby of all people…talk about desperate Sengun in the clutch: 42/0/54 splits and 45% TS Wemby in the clutch: 42/36/63 splits and 53% TS Wemby isn’t even that clutch, and it’s still not close everybody watching the game last night knew Sengun was gonna miss at least one of those free throws maybe his ankle is still bothering him…
1) Ime and Stone have been acquiring or trying to acquire big men since they got here. Lopez, Time Lord, Capela, Adams. That tells you how much they believe in him as a C. 2) Further, they believe it's FVV rather than Sengun who was the most valuable player last season. So they must think FVV can run that PnR with anyone. 3) If Sengun and Amen don't fit and they have to choose, who do you honestly think Ime would side with? Let's be frank, it's Amen. They're not going to go into next season with fingers crossed about one of them learning to shoot. Relying on them turned out to be disappointing and you can't flip a coin on this anymore. If they both show up without shooting next season you've flushed two seasons down the toilet. I'm not optimistic about his future here if we don't reach WCF. I don't agree with that approach but realistically I'm worried for him. Amen would be better with 4 shooters and Sengun would be better with 4 shooters. Much better. That's a fact we can't escape.
Man seriously... I don't want to bring out the race card but it's so damn obvious with a select few posters that people need to start calling them out more often. Where is the vitriol for KD and his 8 TOs? Or Ime's mind-boggling decision making? But no.. the only singular focus is to criticize Alpi or ****-talk Reed. It's funny because these same posters didn't show as much hate for Jalen either despite him shi**ing the bed game after game. But Alpi or Reed? Even when they do well, it's criticism or crickets. No acknowledgment of any of the vast number of things they do to help the team win games. And with Alpi, this is despite the fact that he's still been our best draft pick by a mile from the entire rebuild and our only home-grown All-Star. (watch those f***tards respond by saying participation trophy or just a substitute no big deal).
Media coming out in full force to drop his trade value. Ime’s comments didn’t help. I’m sick of him blaming everything on the players, even though he doesn’t help them at all. With that said Sengun has to play better so we can ship him off this summer. Hopefully Ime and stone will be gone too
I don't see that happening but if it does, it would be the stupidest trade in the teams history. I think they get rid of Ime before they get rid of Alpi.
