The failure goes WAY beyond CJ. It's the coaching staff's job to develop and prepare a young, promising QB, something the Houston staff obviously didn't do. In fact, they f*cked him up. CJ had a horrific game but let's also remember that the OL was an abortion, Nico and Schultz were out, and we had ZERO running game.

I totally agree with you. CJ needs to hire his own experts to rehabilitate his game because Houston has no clue how to do it. If CJ is lucky he'll get traded and become the next Sam Darnold while Houston ruins another young QB.

#7 needs to visit Tom House

But also, I'm sick of beating this dead horse. It's so dead that it's already decomposed

Houston football fans have earned the chance to see their team get destroyed in front of 130 million people. Decades of trying and we've never even appeared in one. It's been 46 years since a Houston team has even been to a conference championship.

Years since last Super Bowl appearance:
    • Browns: N/A (59)
    • Lions: N/A (59)
    • Texans/Oilers: N/A (59)
    • Jets: 57
    • Vikings: 49
    • Dolphins: 41
    • Commanders: 34
    • Bills: 32
    • Jaguars: N/A (30)
    • Chargers: 31
    • Cowboys: 30
    • Titans: 26
    • Raiders: 23
    • Bears: 19
    • Cardinals: 17
    • Colts: 16
    • Saints: 16
    • Packers: 15
    • Steelers: 15
    • Giants: 14
    • Ravens: 13
    • Broncos: 10
    • Panthers: 10
    • Falcons: 9
    • Buccaneers: 5
    • Bengals: 4
    • Rams: 4
    • 49ers: 2
    • Chiefs: 1
    • Eagles: 1
    • Patriots: 0
    • Seahawks: 0
I think you're right that the organization lacks the intelligence. They've never had it until proven otherwise.

I strongly agree. Hanna McNair might be the brightest bulb in the box, but how much influence does she have?

Understandable...when your team goes so long before even making it a championship game/series, it almost feels surreal when they do. Even though they got swept, the Astros making the WS in 2005 satiated me for about 10 years before I started getting antsy again.

The best team always has the clearest path to the Super Bowl. There was no clear cut best team in the AFC this year. I don’t want to rely on a crap shoot, I want us to be the best team. We need a lot more than incremental change on the offensive side of the ball. If we don’t make every effort to improve and emphasize offense for next season I am done with this franchise.

It's been so long that I just want our older fans to see it before they die.

Pats made the SB because of 3 things

    1. Cakewalk schedule allowing them to get Home Field in the Divisional round
    2. Injuries to Bo Nix
    3. Better coaching

If we are serious next year, we have to at least get a home game in the divisional round, or better, the #1 seed. If the Texans played at home we probably would have beaten the Pats, as CJ would not have gotten rattled.

We got screwed cause of the weather and then also Nico and Schultz are out.

Who was he supposed to throw to? No Nico, No Dalton. The only other WR that seemed to get open was Hutch. Kirk didn't.

They were also extremely healthy. Flip the injury situation in the texans game and the texans kill them. There's always a ton of luck (mainly injury) to who wins. Nico (our best offensive player) and Gonzales (pats best defensive player) both got concussions in the previous game. Their guy played, ours didn't.

I don't listen to sports radio in NE but I have to think Drake is getting raked over the coals over his last 3 games. I never thought of him as elite, but I give the young man his props as he at least got them there..............if Bo Nix was healthy, IMO the Broncos walk to the SB

My LORD, there will never be another cake walk like this year and we BLEW it............I don't think we would have beat the Hawks, but that's another conversation

What reason has this franchise and the one before it given fans to beleive that they will do lhe smart thing? The NFL does not award fan loyalty. Players and coaches change uniforms with impunity. Fans are left in the cold, literally.

One thing I realized from watching the Super Bowl was that our IOL would have been DESTROYED. We're not winning anything unless and until that gets a SIGNIFICANT upgrade.
