Bad Bunny’s show was pretty good, the most elaborate I’ve seen. After about 30 seconds I looked at my wife and said ‘this really sucks’ but stuck with it and it got much better, even though I didn’t understand what he was singing. And holy ****, he’s not half a century+ old.
I liked it, started out slow but then got going, loved all the cultural looks..............I am not a "music" person, but I thought it was very enjoyable and even though I didn't know what he was saying I liked it. I get a kick out of it when people say it's not American......were a country full of immigrants, why not celebrate each other's heritage.
I thought the half time show was boring but that’s because I am not familiar with Bad Bunny’s work despite trying to listen to Un Verano Sin Ti when it was released, I cannot find deeper meaning in the lyrics because I know minimal Spanish, and I am not a fan of the musical style anymore than I am a fan of country or blues. So not my cup of tea, but if people who enjoy it enjoyed it don’t let me get in their way.
tbh, I thought it was pretty boring, in fact, the entire broadcast, from the anthem on, was very low T. I imagine I would have appreciated it a bit more if I understood Spanish. still, Bad Bunny can't sing (ahi). I thought Lady Gaga was fine, as was Ricky Martin. the rest was meh. even Brandi Carlile, and artist I like a lot, seemed a bit off, and the blue-haired violinist was painful to listen to. Difficult environment to perform in, I'm sure. Spoiler also, I must've been impossible for the folks in the stands to see much. completely designed for TV.
I didn't enjoy it. Being a Hispanic artist did not bother me. But his lack of singing and melody, half the time he's just yelling "ey!", didn't sound like music to me. The Ricky Martin part was okay as he can actually sing.
My halftime show was excellent, cooked and ate chicken wings. Can't remember the last halftime show I actually sat and watched.
it is not my genre at all but benito killed it, really great art direction and amazing energy. the gaga part was a head scratcher as what did she have to do with any of it?
I thought Green Day's performance was weird -- they sounded fine, but having all the MVPs walk out to American Idiot was quite a choice by whoever choreographed it.
i try not to pay any attention to her but i don't think she is a bad person. just saying she stuck out like a sore thumb in an otherwise really well done spectacle.
Take that colonizers!!11!!!! Sad Kid Rock!!11! I enjoyed the performance.... but not the music if that makes sense...
