The strident Gavin Newsom continues to call out the small vile, unhinged and malignant bottom feeder

Calling people names and thinking that is an argument against the information they present doesn't make a point. It's just you calling people names and not addressing the issues.

You called him a shill. I'm not ignoring anything. I just am more interested in folks addressing the issues from with side of issues

"shill" is a name. "newscum" is calling someone a name. I mean, just to call it what it is. I don't really care either way, except that it makes for uninteresting and useless posting.

Adoo is very biased. Adoo also brings a lot of thought and substance to their posts and arguments, whether I always agree with them or not (and I don't). Seems a little serious and obsessive for my tastes, but whatever.

I can understand someone becoming a Newsom supporter online b/c the vitriol a governor receives from people who don't even live in his state is honestly pretty odd. I guess it's generated b/c the right loves to vilify Cali, New York, and Chicago, painting them to be hellscapes, which they are not. But whatever. As you were, etc.

Gov Gavin Newsom announced another innovative policy

first-in-the-nation privacy tool allowing Californians to
block the sale of their personal data

As of January 1, 2026, Californians can submit a single deletion request to registered data brokers through a tool, Delete Request and Opt-out Platform (DROP). DROP quickly verifies the user’s California residency and then transmits the deletion request to the data brokers. Under the Delete Act, data brokers must start processing deletion requests August 1, 2026.

DROP helps give Californians better control over their data and simplifies the process of requesting that data brokers stop sharing and selling their data. Previously consumers would have to make requests to each data broker individually, making the process extremely difficult and time-consuming.

This is actually kind of a cool idea, and I've been looking into it. I'm not sure I trust (any) state government to role out a good reliable tool like this -- and a bad version could potentially do more harm than good -- but it's worth monitoring, IMHO.

I wish that all of this is opt-in. Using your personal data (selling to another party, for ads, etc.) should be outlawed. Companies may ask users to opt-in. Opt-out tools like this are something, but still backward. Our data should not be for sale nor for profit, unless users opt-in.

He is a shill. All he does is copy and paste things from the left. He doesn't post in any other sub forums as I said.

I don't deny the Newscum. I definitely say that. I can't stand the guy. I put him in the Trump category. You're certainly entitled to your opinion.

Yes, he certainly is extremely biased. I'd beg to differ on thought and substance. I don't think he offers much of anything. Just an extremely one sided viewpoint.

I don't think it's odd at all. He's an extremely unlikable person. He's also a notable public figure who is likely to be running for president so people take notice of him. California's a weirdo place. Obviously it depends on what area you live in. Wouldn't be my choice of places to live. New York ( too cluttered land tough to get around) and Chicago I don't know too much about. I appreciate your feedback though

As mentioned, you did call him names and didn't discuss the issues.

There is no point trying to enter into a discussion with him. He's so far set in his views it's not going to go anywhere. I feel what I said about him was completely justified. I understand it's not the best course of action 99.99% of the time but in his case you have to admit that it wouldn't be a productive conversation.

I don't follow him but I can't recall him having a conversation with anyone. Who comes to a basketball forum to strictly push a political agenda? No posting in the Rockets sub forum, the Astros, the Texans, ect...You seem like a good person and you know what I'm posting is true regarding him.

On issues with Newscum, I have a lot but it would be like listing my issues with Trump. I don't live in California so unless he runs for president (which we both know is inevitable) I would most likely ignore him. He makes it impossible though. The only reason he's got a following is because he hates Trump and is outspoken about it. He's a hustler. California is always going to lean left. I get that their politics aren't for me. Harris (who was fake in every sense of the word) and now Newscum. No thanks.
