    The OC Register has been the most conservativve newspaper in Califs' metro areas.
    It has endorsed Trump for POTUS 3 times.


    Today, he OC Register provided this op-ed piece.

    We say this as an editorial board that remains, as ever, committed to conservative values.

    Americans must hold the president to a higher standard and stop excusing him like a misbehaving child
    from a broken home. He is a 79-year-old man and the president of the United States.

    The failure to do so has only cheapened our nation and risks our future as a beacon for the world.    ​

    I’m neither white or black. If there was an extensive history of people comparing people with my racial background to subhuman apes, I think I’d be far more offended by being depicted as an ape than I would be otherwise. Do you really not get why that might be?

    I think you would be and have been offended when people use your race (white, I assume) against you, such as by saying you have “white privilege” or otherwise unearned status due to your race. And I would fully understand why you’d take offense to that.

    This is no different. Whoever came up with that meme did so knowing that the image of the Obamas presented as subhuman apes would be especially offensive and hurtful to black people.

    Yeah I don’t believe that anyone has a better chance in this world based simply on their skin being white. I’ve known far too many successful people of all types. I know their journey wasn’t any harder than mine. I also believe if you tell me I have white privilege that you are a straight up racist. I’m over the stupid victim complex. You come with that, we are done. It’s weak sauce in 2026. Done with the fake outrage too. Grade evenly.

    the easiest way to read the motivations of an insincere person like Donald Trump is to see him “at his most unfiltered.”

    That involves his late-night posts on social media, far away from the eyes of handlers.
    Racism is the brand an “ideology that papers over feelings of inadequacy.

    In Trump's case, he has been
    • the spoiled child, a trust fund baby, of a New York-based self-made multi-billionaire, as well as
    • the laughingstock of polite society, in New York, a punchline for the privileged
    Trump’s “entire political career — from his embrace of birtherism to his hatred of birthright citizenship —
    cannot be understood outside the context of his bitter, deep-seated racism.”

    Donald Trump is not profound. He has been the same person this whole time. The question is
    why so many others have refused to see what he has never bothered to hide.
