With the first 3 picks, I would take 2 offensive lineman and the best skill position player available.

    1. OLine
    2. WR/RB/TE
    2. OLine
    3. DE/DT (best available)
    4. Linebacker
    4. WR/RB/TE
    6. Whoever
    7. Whoever

Who do you pick in this scenario? I feel like we're desperate for a RT and so I would pick Monroe Freeling out of Georgia. I think there will be more availability for quality G/C than there are OT after the first round.

Iheanachor is who I would pick. I'm tired of hearing about other teams drafting raw former rugby players or stuff like that who end up being pro bowl level guys. For Iheanachor to have never played football until college but still be a first rounder lets me know he's on the right trajectory.

I would probably pick Lee Hunter and pick one of Dunker/Rutledge/Bisontsis in rd 2. Also I would hope another of these 3 guys fell to the top of the 3rd and would trade up for one of them if necessary.

If TJ Parker, R Mason Thomas or Zion Young are there at 28, t would have a hard time picking any offensive lineman. All three are game wreckers and I would have a higher grade on them vs any available offensive lineman.

He would definitely give the passing game a shot in the arm.

I don't necessarily disagree but I absolutely believe that we need to go all-in on building the offense and so my mocks reflect that.

28 Emmanuel Pregnon - Immediate starter at LG
38 Christen Miller - brings youth to DL rotation
69 Josiah Trotter - stud MLB
    76 (trade w/Pitt 59+106 for 76+85) Keylan Rutledge
85 Austin Barber - Zone blocking swing OT from SEC
128 Tyreak Sapp - Depth at DE similar to Greenard
165 Tyren Montgomery - Dice roll on WR with traits
243 Dean Connors - Change of pace RB
    244 Kendal Daniels - Jumbo S/coverage LB

The offense will be more run heavy after re-signing Ingram and bringing in Pregnon, Rutledge and Barber. Free agent RB Tyler Allgeier will split carries with Marks and McCaffrey wannabe and former Coog/Owl Connors. Free agent Charlie Kolar is a better blocker at TE than anything the Texans have had and former 7th round pick Luke Lachey might finally be healthy to improve our TE blocking too.

The passing game will be heavy on play action and will go mostly to the WRs where the improvement from Higgins and Noel along with bringing Dell back and the addition of Montgomery makes up for cutting Schultz. Kolar and Brevin Jordan will have chances though.

Adding fresh blood to keep the D rolling is important IMO as that side if the ball will get expensive quickly. Devoting draft resources just hoping for more of the same.

I like most of your picks but I think we need to use #58 on one of the better running backs. We really need one.

Early I wanted Jonah Coleman. But id sign Tyler Allgeier as a free agent who, along with Marks and Connors, would be a good stable of backs imo.

I like this a lot. I'm looking for more of a guy that's a threat to score anytime he touches the ball type RB in the draft.

Y'all forgetting about Jawhar Jordan? I think one bell-cow addition (toppish of draft or FA) + healthy Woody + Jordan is a solid RB rotation.

I would add another RB for competition sake (late draft or cheap FA)

That might work too. When I mock I just go by the current roster but obviously free agency might change things.

Rd1 – Pick 23: IOL Olaivavega Ioane (Penn State)
Rd2 – Pick 38: DL Lee Hunter (Texas Tech)
Rd3 – Pick 69: RB Jadarian Price (Notre Dame)
Rd3 – Pick 98: IOL Keylan Rutledge (Georgia Tech) replaces Ingram if he costs too much.
Rd4 – Pick 126: TE Jack Endries (Texas)
Rd4 – Pick 128: DL Zane Durant (Penn State) I doubled up on the DL but I really like Durant
Rd5 – Pick 165: WR Brenen Thompson (Mississippi State) I wanted another small, fast guy to block in goalline situations. So Tank doesn't have to.

    I didn't do the last 2 picks

    Trades
    With Philadelphia Eagles:
    Texans receive: Rd1 #23, Rd3 #98, 2027 Rd4
    Eagles receive: Rd1 #28, Rd2 #59

    With Buffalo Bills:
    Texans receive: Rd4 #126, 2027 Rd4
    Bills receive: Rd4 #106

Have any of you watched film on OT Turner Corcoran out of Nebraska? He's the right OT, but he would play Guard with whoever drafts him. He's the nastiest, meanest, most aggressive lineman on the field at all times. He's pure joy to watch and it gets better as you see the defenses look at ways to retaliate back at him.

I haven't watched any film. Draft Buzz predicts him to not to be picked.

So the Huskers brought back the steroid glory years?

Brilliant draft that has 0% chance of happening. But I like where you're going with this.
