You think Cat will be content to be a backup??? Think again. ;)

And he'll be too expensive to be a backup anyways.

He will resign with Magic (SF) or go to lakers (Rudy). There is no way he is going to come back unless we trade for him.

I think Francis can convince Cat to stay, and plus, the way their playing, he might not want to leave.

But Cat in Philly would be nice. They need shooting real bad, besides Korver-they've got nothing. It would be nice to see a hometown Philly-Boy go home.

I remember him with such quotes as "Screw the fans" and "we get more love in away games" and things like that.

I remember him bad-mouthing Houston after the trade.

I don't know, the opportunity to come be a defensive specialist off the bench would be pretty enticing ...

He might understand that it had to be done to get Tmac. How can he ignore that? The Rockets can show interest in him again, make him feel needed, which he is, and he may very well come back.

Hell no he's not coming back. You give your heart and soul to a team and they trade you away as soon as a chance comes their way? No chance.

Plus you look at it, he can either come here and get benched for T-Mac or he can stay and play in the east with his best friend as a starter...

What about Big Shot Rob? :)

A Mobley-like player in Flip Murray is available in Seattle. Unfortunately, though he's similar to Cat offensively and in terms of size, he plays absolutely no defense...

What if we did a sign and trade for him where we sent the Magic Taylor and Cat got Taylor money, we would probably also send them a draft pick. Cat and T-Mac could certainly play at the same time, either at the guard positions or as a 2 and a 3. Since TMac handles the ball so much anyway, I don't see a problem replacing Lue with Mobley and moving Ward to the backup 1 with Sura as the backup 2.

    Mobley/Ward
    McGrady/Sura
    Jackson/Nachbar/Bowen
    Howard/Padgett
    Yao/Mutombo

That is a pretty good lineup. Maybe that Badiane guy turns into a legit 4 or we can sign one with our MLE and we are ready to go.

The amount of money these players are making put me down for a pay cut too. These guys have to understand that this a biz and for what they are getting paid they need to act professional instead of being a baby.

I love the idea of Cuttino as a point guard on the Rockets. His defense would help out our team tremendously. If teams play big we can go with Cuttino Jim and Tracy in the backcourt and if they go small we can replace Jim with sura. I'm all for trading Mo for Cat. In fact as i recall the Rockets were really trying to keep mobley in houston, unfortunately Orlando wouldn't go for the deal that way.

This is my personal opinion and its worth absolutely nothing now but I would of loved to see the Rockets trade Francis for Ray Allen... perhaps with this trade we would of never had to get rid of Cato or Mobley... but oh well......

In all honesty I dont think we have a shot at mobley coming back... I think Orlando will thrive in the East as long as grant hill's ankle holds up and they will possibly make it to the second round. They however will never make it to the Finals... SO mobley do u take more money play with your best friend and never win a title or do u take less money, and play for the team that left you.....:(
