I have to say - I am finding myself less and less endeared or caring about this particular generation of Rockets.

The GM got the job by stabbing the prior GM in the back and has a history of poor character judgment with guys like Wood, Porter and Wall.

The front office outside of Eli, really isn’t all the inspiring or even punching above their weight class.

The head coach cheated on his wife with the wife of his boss and then when his mistress ended it, he harassed he and caused issues. Now his faux “I’m a man” schtick is worthy of an eye roll when he is repeatedly slow making adjustments.

With all the high lottery picks the Rockets had - they lack a franchise player and their best player (by far) is like 38 years old and on his 4-5th team.

Sengun is annoying and either an idiot or has issues with women. Reed Sheppard acts very much like my autistic brother and cousin.
Amen cannot shoot and is further away from being a point guard than a year ago.

Adams and Capela are old. Jabari Smith is possibly the least inspiring #3 pick in 15 years. Guy is like unbuttered toast.

The players were not drafted or put together where the sum is greater than the parts - zero comparability. Basically what you would expect from someone with a very surface level knowledge of the actual game as played.

Im just being overly pessimistic - maybe.

Interesting tidbit Alpe behaved like the greatest whiner of all time and got the nerves to call out others.

 

I remember that Tilman took some issues with D'Antoni and somehow Morey was on MDA's side......and things went from there.

And Morey was fed up at that time, self sabotaged his job, said he would take some time off, then immediately got announced as President of Operations by Philly.

Silas came about because Tilman wanted a younger guy who was controllable and CHEAP.

Rafael harvested the job and could reap the rewards of the Harden Trade.

 

So when’s Sengun running to be the president?

 

Couldn’t find the answer scrolling through pages of fluff. Was the ref a genuine b**** though? If she wasn’t calling the fouls, calling her out was fair play.

 

I hear you. The GM does look like a sleazebag. The HC projects toughness, but beneath it, you can see he's weasel-y... The young core is talented but with many flaws: you'd expect more from the collection of picks we've had.

I feel like the drivers for the relative success we've had the past few years were FVV (good character, good leader) and now KD (freak). Behind these two, its blah...

Everything went to **** when Fertita took over. I’ve been rooting for this team since I was 5 and started posting here when I was a kid. This is the first time I look at the brand of basketball and the people behind the brand and think why the hell am I supporting all of this crap that’s the antithesis of most of what I like/value?

it doesn’t make any sense. We’re like Morton’s steak house or Joe crab shack. A fancy name but turd in the inside dressed up

He is actually not an elite finisher, yes he tries to dunk it a lot, but he hasn't gotten hangtime and athleticism.

He tries his best to get refs to call for him, I fear it is likely not going to be happening.

 

His head is very pointy.

Harsh on Amen imo. His FTs are improved and his on ball decisions better. Jabari is better this year though people seem to struggle to admit that. Reed is too young and Ime is not a good coach for him. Ime took a team to the Finals and I really dont care about adultery in a field where everyone does it. I dont think hes the best to develop these players though.

Every shot moving forward not put up by Amen, Jabari, Reed or a Reed/Amen pass is a wasted possession to me. Couldn't care less about Katie's scoreboard chase or Turkish Sabonis at this point.
