there is zero argument for wanting Mid VanVleet over Harden…Fred’s not gonna play a single game this year, and Harden will still remain the significantly better player and PG next season

What's clear to me is that Adams was the only real 'dog' left after shipping Brooks out- the closest thing to a steady-eddie glue guy there was on the roster.
What's shaken out of his absence is now there's lot of timidity that wasn't there before. The opposition's recipe is now to pack the paint and challenge everything at the rim, and this group is now blinking in the face of the challenge- which is impacting what little perimeter game remains.

I don't necessarily think the stubborn, offensive scheme-challenged coach is the problem per se... a stubborn GM with assets, who now is trying to walk back the "win now" mandate... there's where the problem lies.
