if we acquired Harden, that would’ve meant expectations that would’ve meant actually acquiring some shooters that would’ve meant Ime having to set aside his ego now when we get bounced in the 1st round, we can blame it on FVV and Stephen Adams being out with injury Stone pretty much already did that at the press conference yesterday there is zero argument for wanting Mid VanVleet over Harden…Fred’s not gonna play a single game this year, and Harden will still remain the significantly better player and PG next season and with Stephen Adams, I’ve never seen this dude be so integral to any team he’s ever been on…people talking like the season was done when he went down imagine Nuggets fans talking about how their season is a wrap because they lost Jonas Valanciunas Stone thinks he’s buying himself some time from having any expectations by always playing it safe and slowly building this mediocre and mismatched roster…sad thing is he’ll get away with it because the sports media and fanbase puts zero pressure on the organization

They are right to consider past performance when it comes to Harden- he doesn't represent the true need. What's clear to me is that Adams was the only real 'dog' left after shipping Brooks out- the closest thing to a steady-eddie glue guy there was on the roster. What's shaken out of his absence is now there's lot of timidity that wasn't there before. The opposition's recipe is now to pack the paint and challenge everything at the rim, and this group is now blinking in the face of the challenge- which is impacting what little perimeter game remains. I don't necessarily think the stubborn, offensive scheme-challenged coach is the problem per se... a stubborn GM with assets, who now is trying to walk back the "win now" mandate... there's where the problem lies.

For who? FVV can't be moved without his agreement, so it would require Jabari just for salary purposes. I doubt Harden makes this team a true title contender. Does KD even want to play with James anymore? It would definitely have made us a win now team without enough winning players to actually compete for a title.
