With another embarrassment tonight, recently KD showing his frustration in a press conference, Ime basically calling out everyone but KD, Sengun showing his frustration by cussing out a female ref and likely unhappy with no ASG appearance, is this team showing serious cracks and chemistry issues (as players and or with the coaches) or we just lack talent (shot and playmaking, injuries etc)?

This team has talent. The chemistry however, has been off for a few weeks. Something is off.

Some of the worst basketball I've witnessed in quite sometime. Its giving me Silas of the Lambs vibes

The coaches are inadequate. They're not NBA level. Add to that a poorly constructed team. KD is a good basketball player, but he's 37 years old and has an overwhelming ego.

Coaching, lack of specific offensive talent, KD not quite meshing with the aforementioned limited offensive players…those are my thoughts.

For all of Jalen’s issues, his specific skillset worked well with the rest of the guys, they were drafted for that purpose, after all. So had we replaced Jalen with someone like Mitchell or whatever, I think the offense would look a lot more fluid.

Missing FVV hurts too, and Dillon became a really solid shooter that we definitely need right now.

Honestly, KD is still a fantastic offensive players, but he’s on such a different timeline than our other guys and sometimes his points feel empty because they’re not momentum shifting loud-as-**** points like some of DB or Jalen’s points were.

I probably am just in my feelings and being too negative because this years team isn’t “bad”, per-se. But it’s been very disappointing and not very fun to watch

100% agreed. There's plenty of talent. None of it works together though.

    It’s everything.

Burn it all down and start over.

That’s no knee jerk. Not trying to be funny.

    It’s everything.

    In short, what @LosPollosHermanos said

    Coaching
which has a hand in roster construction
which has a hand in play style
Sucked for 3 years to come away with Fred VanVleet & Kevin Durant
Their so-called two best young players can’t shoot (where the NBA has basically become a 3pt contest)

They play a 90s style of basketball.
    Defense first, second and third.
Play through the post through an inefficient center & shoot middies; no threes
One playable guard that’s hurt that they’re putting all their hopes on and he’s not even a top 20 point guard.
3 centers (none who can shoot, the other two there to mostly rebound/grab all their misses)
10 forwards of the “3&D” variety (except no three)
No bench. Guys who do the same ****: Tari(or)Okogie, Tate, DFS, Capela, Adams … so you’re getting little to no bench production.

They don’t shoot threes. They don’t make threes.
    They don’t make free throws.
    They don’t make layups.

I’ve beaten the draft thing to death.

4 top four picks and they came away with Jalen Green, Jabari Smith, Amen Thompson and Reed Sheppard. You’re not building around any of those guys.
And you’re not building around an inefficient center or the 17th pick who can’t stay healthy and can’t play back to backs.
And the rest are busts/gone. TyTy, Christopher, Garuba, Cam…

They hard capped themselves for DFS and Capela.

Of course they made no trades. They aren’t ready to give up on Sengun, Amen & Reed and no one wants Adams, Capela or DFS. Jabari had a poison pill, making him difficult to trade. The rest on minimums.

Rockets fans tend to overrate our "talent".

Amen is a complete non-factor outside the paint, Sengun shoots 29% from 3 and Jabari Smith is barely over 35% on
    W I D E O P E N 3's.

They play too many non shooters at once. Their offense was basically built on missing shots. Once they lost Adams there was not a lot of value in missing shots anymore. It was a dangerous place to be that so much depended on Adams. They needed a guard BEFORE FVV went down; after and they are screwed.

Biggest problem to me is none of the young core players made the leap we were hoping for. If anything, they all regressed. That’s my biggest disappointment because they are our future.

This right here. The beginning of the season looked like improved play, but the last couple of months have been disappointing with regression.

It's a perfect storm of ****. There is no chemistry, the roster is weird as hell, Udoka doesn't seem to know how to reach these guys, they can't shoot, injuries, no sense of urgency to improve the roster, it's a complete and total cluster **** at the moment. The break can't get here soon enough.

It all comes down to not having FVV.

    The roster is NOT bad.

We are playing a brand of basketball that makes no sense. FVV was supposed to be the glue between last years play and integrating KD.

we don’t have that and we suck because of it

Team chemistry and lack of a key player attribute -- ball handling and playmaking.
