Ime Udoka reminds me of Jeff Van Gundy running out Steve Francis and trading him for a broken down Tracy McGrady and failing. So far Kevin Durant looks really healthy. But he is carrying half of the offense.
What a weird dynamic for me to witness - watching from inside of Toyota Center tonight instead of on Space City Network. Ime and his assistants were clustered at center court chatting through full timeouts...meanwhile all of the players were on the sideline. There was little visible interaction between the coaching staff and the player at a number of timeouts in this debacle of a game vs the Hornets.
Home games don't make a difference when your coach lost the locker room key. Got to shower & change in the car or at your house - how's that for unprofessional
Lol, James Borrego ? He is the head coach of the Pelicans & will be at least through next year if not longer. Regardless if we are depending on James Borrego to salvage this iteration of the Rockets we might as well all follow my lead & turn on "Blue Bloods" .
He should have benched the starters earlier tonight. They have opened a big ass can of quit the past two games.
most unprofessional staff and it rubs off on the players. I hope they lose every game just so doka is fired. and he has no portland roots. he’s a 15th man scrubby spurs benchman I swear Willie Green was a better basketball mind and coach than him. he literally just stands on the sidelines and screams out the same sht a role player would do. he aint no coach
Kinda funny, it seems like Cs fans had all these same complaints. Ime the perfect coach to grind a defensive mindset into young players but little else going for him. They complained about his lack of strategy, his offensive scheme (nonexistent) and his poor rotations constantly wishing for other players to play but realizing he didn't play anyone if he didn't trust them defensively. Some notable quotes over on Cs reddit about Ime...there's tons of course Look, I can go on and on but you can see the trends here. Not having PGs, not having shooting, an ugly offense, a good defense, and basically the vibes seemed to be that they had no real superstar (lol) which is funny now because we know they had Tatum and Brown...but when you're playing this ugly ahh offense it makes EVERYONE look bad. Obviously too you can find people saying good things about Ime as well but I find it funny the criticisms are exactly the same. You'll also see a lot of people wondering why a non-shooting lineup is on the court... Unfortunately, I don't see us firing Ime anytime soon, at least not while KD is here. Hopefully he looks in the mirror and gets some help on his staff or actually...you know...understand that basketball is about OFFENSE AND DEFENSE, not just offense. I do think a good coach hides the problems of their team while a bad coach magnifies them...and this year he's been a bad coach. All of our flaws and warts are there to be seen every single night and our strengths seem almost non-existent lol. All we heard was how the length of this team was going to dominate the NBA but it feels like it doesn't even exist, we randomly get beat on the boards even sometimes by bad rebounding teams, wtf is that?
