Alperen Sengun calls female ref a '****ing b****' on Women in Sports Day

Over the last ten years it has been steadily become more acceptable for men to say sexist, nasty and wrong things about women. A lot of these guys were relatively young a decade ago and think this is okay. Most of these same men also don't have sex with quality women unless they are paying for it.

 

read the rules I posted above, you don't need a second tech for ejection depending on the circumstance

 

Sengun was rightfully ejected. He is young - but that was really stupid of him.

 

Alpi's on-court antics are really starting to make me sour on him.

 

Buddy, a respectful "**** you" if you're literally bothsidesing normal people trying to get through life and agents of an *actual* white supremacist sex trafficking cabal that apparently really does control our society (?!?).

Not sure why I have to say this but opposing Nazis & kiddie p*rn is not a "crusade" - it's a prerequisite for societal participation.

Im still in my 20s, I’ve always had a ridiculous, shock comedy sense of humor. The things I casually say to my wife and friends are unbelievable.

That being said the rule is there’s zero intention behind it. It’s purely goofs, with no deep standing emotions / beliefs or politics tied to any of it.

When I read some of the things in this thread, I don’t get the vibe that it’s purely for goofs, and that changes everything and it becomes quite disturbing.

But reading intent over text is HARD

I agree that Alpi made a mistake and would have been better served just keeping his mouth shut, but if the chick truly wants equality with the male refs, and she should, perhaps it's time to laugh this stuff off. I would have been more impressed had she smiled at Sengun and then tossed him.

IDK but other players got T'd up with calling male refs that exact word, maybe numerous times over.

Hits harder when it is an actual woman.

I don't fully disagree with this.... but IMO if women want to be in traditionally men's spaces, they don't get to fall back on the tradition of men treating women as if they are special and above being called a name.

If you want to be an NBA ref, you might get called a name. If that's unacceptable, fine, don't be an NBA ref.

You either want equality, or the special treatment of tradition.... you can't pick only the good things from both.

Sengun's victim mentality is reaching Doncic levels, except Doncic is a top 5 player so he can get away with it. Feels like Fred and Dillon really reigned in Sengun's bad tendencies and habits but now he has no one to keep him in check. This includes the lazy defense and lack of effort.
