What happens to James Harden as a Cleveland Cavalier?

  1. Championship

  2. Retire as a Cavalier

  3. Finals appearance

  4. Ask to be traded again to another team at some point

Even with that, the issue is, there has been no postseason advancement with Harden any coach

If postseason advancement = finals then true.

Hes made it to the WCF with 3 different coaches.

I doubt it's giving a call to (Rockets Legend™) Scott Brooks about Harden's 6th man status in Finals. Just was thinking Cavaliers want more than Conference Finals

The only reason James is in Cleveland is that no other team was willing to pay him $40 million a year on his next contract. With Ballmer possibly knee-deep in the fraud mess, I’m actually happy with James being out of L.A. But his play will either help the Cavs secure Mitchell long term or play a role in the kind of playoff collapse that sends Mitchell running for the hills.

A few years too late for that Kenny.

I can’t wait to watch it all go down tbh. Win or lose, there’s a story there.

James never fails to keep you entertained. This team is a huge opportunity for him.

A lot of talent that fits his strengths in a wide-open conference. Will be fun to see what he does.

At least people can’t say look there’s James asking out. LA clearly is giving up on the season. I’m guessing the Lenard hammer drops in the offseason.

Fingers crossed JH can get one this go around.

It is all Steve Ballmer, the fake competitiveness, but yeah, I can understand given how bad the Sterling years were.

Off to the Draft lottery and Draft nights.

Since our GM already gave up on a season it is nice to have a side story.

The Beard/Spida recruiting Lebron thing doesn't make too much sense. Mitchell will be looking at options for his next extension. Even if he leaves the Cavs, I'm certain him and his agent at least wants CLE as an option. Harden, left Clippers, because they didn't give him the number he wanted, he's also looking to get paid.

What we have are two players whose salary are in the ~$40 to $50m range. Do they know that if Lebron comes... .even if short-term, Lebron is not going to play for a vet minimum. Cavs is double apron team, with also Heaven Mobley on the books.

If Donovan and James are still looking to lock down their money, they should not be asking Cavs GM to be tempted by a Lebron, and jeopardize that money pie.

It's possible to shuffle some money around, but it's not easy on that expensive Cavs team. I can see Cavs fans maybe want Bron on a retirement tour, but it's not in Harden/Mitchell's financial interest. Mitchell is likely a lock to get whatever he wants, but Harden isn't.

Lastly, some of these polymarket gambling sites want fans to put money down on these possibilities. Betting on the news is one thing, but they shouldn't be amplifying rumors to sway the money odds.
