They traded McCain because they've decided to keep Grimes instead.

This is exactly the idea. A good team maintains a pipeline of potential talent. If Cason Wallace ends up on another team, McCain can step into his spot.

Right now, the Rockets FO seem to believe there is no need for additional young talent, despite the fact that we're relying on a 37-year old to be our first option on offense and a guy with no shot and a shaky handle to be a PG. We overpaid for every player last summer (either in $ amount or number of years) and it's all been terribly underwhelming.

We need to sign M. Conley just for the curiosity of having the #2, #4, and #5 picks from the 2007 draft on our roster. True fossil museum!

Then, bring back Corey Brewer, Aaron Brooks and Carl Landry...

Now that the details are out, I sort of like it too. They can rest AD and Trae, get a high pick in a good draft, and come back next year with a roster of Young, AD, Sarr, George, Johnson, and a top pick. The FRPs they traded were about as close to SRPs as FRPs can get.

They had the young players; they just needed experience around them. It started with Middleton

Wonder if OKC would be willing to deal Nikola Topic. I know its a stretch but he is still young and might be a good stash to see what he can do.

Another guy we should throw some assets at to acquire- Ryan Rollins.

6'3 with 6'9 wingspan. 40% three-point shooter on good volume. Plus defender already. 23 years old. Not a star but we don't need a star. Would solve a lot of our problems on offense while still bringing quality defense. Perfect solution. Every player is available if the offer is strong enough.

What if like LeBron to Cavs, Tari, Bari and SteveO and Fred's carcasses to the Lakers (Harden can make sure Fred gets a good time before he goes out to LA with his club hook ups,) Beard comes home and we play him and Amen side by side all offense no defense meets all defense no offense to make the ultimate voltron player, then Ime hits on Hardens girl but James is basketball Jesus in Houston and ferntits loves him so bye bye Ime, suck your Mum, out of the wings comes Mike D'antoni to turn Reed into Steve Nash meets Cocaine Curry meets CP3PO meets JJ Redick with a pass meets Justin Beiber (but a cowboy version) and win ten rings?

Future looking grim for the Rockets. Stone should be on the hot seat.

Not really. Several potential buyout options that may help keep the ship afloat
