Would Rockets give up several of the picks we have for McDaniels? Would it make sense? I don't see how Bucks acquire McDaniels from Minni if he is the only asset (outside of Edwards) that could get Minni some high picks back to the complete a deal. I would do it.

 

If the Rockets don't trade them, the tradeable salary is equivalent in value to the amount of cap space the Rockets used to acquire them. Both $0M (i.e., much less than the $50M that you said). Adams would have likely been an MLE signing by another team so very doubtful a sign and trade. FVV...this would have been a weird transaction, but generally sign and trades don't return much.

Your post looks like it was meant to sensationalize the opportunity cost the Rockets gave up for those three.
