You are far too optimistic. Democratic politicians do not have the courage to go after Trump. They might try to leverage some anger to win an election, but they saw how people who tried to hold Trump accountable got burned last time. Maybe if we get an AOC type as president, but an institutionalist is the more likely winner and he will want to move on "for the sake of the country" and not poke the MAGA bear again.
