Not a catastrophe, he's been a disappointment. I and probably rockets brass thought they could possibly replace Tari with dfs and this season (possibly because of the ankle injury) he has not. Ain't no way I'm giving up Bari or Tari at this point. Dfs or gtfo lol

To be clear, I don’t want Coby White unless it’s for close to nothing, but we don’t need an over the hill PG even less. 3 pt shooting is what we need and somebody that can handle the ball occasionally. I would rather have a high functioning Reed Sheppard, but it looks like that’s going to be a while.

There's no way they'd send either Reed or Tari, as we have full control of those guys/contracts. White is very likely just half a season rental. This is most likely DFS and some seconds, my guess only.

I fully expect to acquire Coby White. I think it will cost DFS and probably a first to do it, which I don't like, but getting out of that DFS contract might be worth it. The Bulls need to move him now. We are the logical trade partner. I'd be surprised if this doesn't get done.

Rockets have no use for Coby White.

It needs to be Ayo Dosunmu or nothing.

Ayo completely embodies Udoka ball. White, not at all.

Dosunmu is gritty and plays with a chip on his shoulder and will work both ends of the floor. It would be a major mistake to take White if for just a little more you can get Ayo.

I was talking about Conley. It was a reply to a post.

I honestly think Adams for White makes a lot of sense for both teams.

Chicago has no future with White. They also have no projected C for next year. Adding Adams doesn't stop them acquiring a stop-gap for this year, and gives them 2 more years of a starting quality C on the books.

Houston needs to make a move for now. Adams injury means he is not a factor this season and we have max 3 seasons to contend with Durant, so why waste one of them with 1/4 of the cap sitting on the bench injured. Moves to address replacing Adams can be made in the off-season, while utilising our resources best to make a push this season.

No doubt there will also be a rotation worthy buyout option we could try to add post-deadline

If we give up Tari for Coby, that would be a huge mistake. DFS plus a first only please. We also need a backup center, I wonder if Landale could possibly be re-routed as well?

What part of bullshit confused you?

He's throwing it at the wall. But the basic premise is solid. They have to move White. If I was going to make up news it would look a lot like that!

I would rather send out Adams than DFS, but I don’t think the Rockets see it that way. I think DFS might get his act together by playoff time and Adams has been injured 3 years in a row and costs more.

I will be beyond surprised if the Rockets trade either Jabari Smith Jr. or Tari Eason for an expiring Coby White. The Bulls are dreaming if they think they are getting that level of a return, especially after they acquired Jaden Ivey and Anfernee Simons today.

If the Bulls are willing to take Dorian Finney-Smith or Steven Adams’ contracts, they can get a future first from the Rockets. Otherwise, they might get a couple of second-round picks and salary filler.

The Rockets have use for Coby White. He’s a combo guard that shoots the three well. Think of him as a more consistent Reed Sheppard.

DFS has really shown nothing besides occasional solid defense but he's still slow footed. He's been a complete zero offensively. Trading him for Coby White even if White is just a rental to get off DFS's contract is a win in itself. We can use that money to re-sign Tari and Okogie who has done everything we wanted DFS to do.

he’s a really good 2-way player who has serious breakout potential; about to hit his best yrs. Very good ball handler/takes care of the ball. Great bet for the long-run. Still preserves on-ball opportunities for Reed (and Fred next season).
