Why is Trump covering up the Epstein files while protecting pedophiles?

I understand your conviction, and I'm not asking you to doubt what you believe happened. But here's the problem: Trump and his supporters believe just as strongly that the 2020 election was stolen and that Biden's DOJ is persecuting him politically. They think they're defending democracy.

You're saying your belief justifies breaking the norm of DOJ independence because what happened was so serious. But that's exactly what they say too. If sincerity of belief is enough to justify weaponizing the DOJ, then we've just agreed there are no rules anymore, only who has power.

You say Trump did it anyway. You're right, he did. And that's exactly why we shouldn't follow him down that path. If we abandon the principle because he violated it, we're not defending democracy, we're just fighting over who gets to control the weapon.

now we’re seeing corruption on a scale that’s never been done in this country…we’re seeing journalists getting arrested

Sad to say, but the America you are hoping to preserve has already been flushed down the toilet this past year. Trump is a habitual line crosser because he's never faced any real consequences in his life. Closest thing might have been a week after Jan 6, but Republicans chickened out and the only lesson Trump learned was to go full dictator. So what I think Reeko is saying is we need Nuremberg trials for all these criminals that have been just following orders and have a very publicly FO moment to dissuade trampling on the constitution again. You can't have one side follow the law and the other not, that's just not sustainable.

And no President has done more to stop human trafficking than Trump. These are evidence-backed facts.

texxx, they were best friends until an alleged falling out over what trump said was esptein "stealing" a girl from him. or was it a real estate deal? or was it because epstein was being inappropriate with a club member? trump has given multiple different stories and different years. but its a FACT that they were very good friends who partied together. there is plenty of photo evidence. its also true that trump said "I've known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side".

I am not sure what the answer is on how to deal with this administration (if they even leave) after they are booted out. I know we cant go tit for tat every 4 years, but there needs to be some kind of trial/investigation. MAGA wants to use the "well, Biden did it" but tramp is doing it on a level we could not even comprehend, and I am 100% sure some of the basic "normal behavior" we have seen in the past is gone. I have a feeling the last thing tramp will do is pardon every single person in his administration and I am not sure how that looks legally, but this admin has to be held responsible. Our checks and balances need to be codified and we need to have guard rails for this maniac
