I think Ayo would be worth one of our own unprotected picks, but in order to keep the stepian rule out of play, I think it would have to be in 31, which would probably not interest the Bulls. The 27 Phoenix swap might be worth it, if you think Phoenix is going to keep progressing next year and Chicago might bite on that one.
Reed has been struggling and they may not be comfortable relying on him in the playoffs. I really, truly hate Aaron Holiday minutes. He plays like Cam Whitmore. It's crazy for a 6'0" guard to be averaging 2 assists per 36 minutes. I wouldn't give up much for a backcourt addition, but a protected Rockets pick or multiple 2nd rounders seems reasonable enough.
Timberwolves trying to get any and everybody lol. Makes me wonder if Ant is putting a lot of pressure on that team to be a true contender...
They traded five 1st round draft picks and Walker Kessler for Gobert. They have control of one pick between now and 2032. Gobert and Randle are 33 and 31 years old. They just made the WCF last season so might as well go all in for right now. Ant doesn't need to put pressure on them to contend, they put themselves in this position.
Makes sense to me. Coby is not some altering franchise player that you throw away FRPs for a chance to pay him in the summer and at worst a short term rental.
I like Coby. I also think him and Fred can play together when Fred gets back. I would not give up a first round pick for White as a rental.
Not a big fan of White's. He'd give the Rockets a rotation guard. SRPs for him would be fine. Caveat: Bulls just don't play defense when I watch them. I worry that the Rockets would just be adding another player that only plays on one side of the ball. Scoring would be appreciated, though.
If Ime can't get a player to play defense, then he's worthless as a coach. If he's as good a defensive coach as Rockets think he is, then he should be able to run a solid defense that involves a guard like Coby White.
He’ll just be a more consistent Sheppard which might help us get out of the first round. Hope we don’t give up too much for him.
White fits the salary space freed up by FVV and SA exits. Doesn't make sense to make a move for him if we have to give up Shep or Tari. I'd pass. He's in the final year of his contract. Too much to pay for a rental.
Well the Bulls just got Conley so yea more than likely, we're getting Coby. Lets just see what we gave up for it
to match salaries if it’s just Coby it will have to include Adams or DFS or Reed plus a minimum salary. If this happens I think the Rockets have relented and are sending back a FRP. I can’t believe they would be sending Tari out for White as well as he is shooting.
Maybe. I see a guy who probably helps in the regular season. I see a higher floor, but a lower ceiling than Reed even for this year. I hope he's better than I expect if the Rockets get him.
