So...is anyone going to see good old Spongebob? I probably will see it sometime within the next week or so. My daughter and I watch it every night and get a total kick out of Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward and Mr. Krabs. My favorite character, though, has to be Sandy, the squirrel. Are you ready kids? AYE AYE CAPTAIN!
Any predictions on how much it will gross? I will be taking my four kids, and if I didn't have kids, I would still be going.
I've only seen a handful of eps, it seems funny. The previews have been great. If I do watch it, it will be late with like stoners or something.
Spongebob Squarepants is a pretty funny show, but I think the Fairly Odd Parents is much funnier. My little brother has me watch it with him all the time, and it's hilarious. A lot of subtle, adult humor that kids don't pick up on.
I'm taking my three kids on Saturday morning, but the teenager wants to hide his face in case some of his friends are at the movies.
I'm definitely going, but I have to find a time when a lot of kids won't be there. I can't watch Spongebob with kids because they laugh at stupid stuff like people's pants falling down. The real humor in the show is the stuff kids don't get. Greatest line ever: "I guess you're gonna miss...the panty raid! -Patrick to Mr. Krabs
I plan on going to see it too. I'll go by myself if I have to. Anyway it'll probably be the #1 movie this weekend.
I am surprised my two young'uns haven't said they want to go, but I want to take them. I will get my usual: "Do YOU want to go, or do you want THEM to see it? Which one is it?" from my wife. He shouldn't. It's rated PG. I still can't believe it has such rating. I think it's because of the situations...
I'm there too...You don't have to have kids to go...I mean, the adult humor is so blatent sometimes... Although, i can't imagine stretching out this cartoon into a movie, but I'm sure it'll be hilarious...
OK...so I went to see this today and was pretty satisfied. I'd have to give the first hour and twenty minutes a good four stars, but the final ten minutes is a definite five stars. When Spongebob busts out with the Twisted Sister ripoff, I was almost in tears. Definitely a funny movie, but I think I still prefer the fifteen minute episodes...more humor crammed into a smaller amount of time.
I thought the ending was kinda lame. It just came out of left field, and left me wondering "How'd he do that?" Kids liked it though, which is what really matters.
We saw it saturday afternoon, we took five kids with us, they all left happy and thought it was a good movie.
