Eventually people have to start taking responsibility for their own actions like this guy did. All you guys are doing is condoning the suicide bombings and terrorist acts because you feel they are somewhat justified by some Israeli "occupation." The truth is, once these people get what they want, they'll learn that all they have to do to get something is bomb other countries/people. (And don't give me this crap about the US doing that all the time because last time I checked, the US doesn't TARGET innocent civilians with suicide bombings .)

You who condone these actions are simply feeding the fire. For all you guys who blame Bush for not going through the diplomatic process it must feel so nice to be able to have it both ways when it comes to the Palestinians.

I disagree with the notion that peace cannot be acheived through war. It doesn't seem like Rome had much trouble with Carthage after they finished the punic wars. Maybe it is just time for some nations who are constantly being bedeviled by other nations to take a heavier hand. We need to learn from history's successes as well as it's failures.

Yes, what better way to defeat a stateless, ill-defined, religio/ideological movement, that is everywhere and nowhere at once and that feeds off of oppression and violence by using methods only effective against traditional state-based threats?

I try to condone terrorism at least five times a day. I find it brings me a positive mind balance and actually burns more calories than just diet and exercise alone. You are a fool to think otherwise.

Well, the problem is terroism isn't just one group of people. A terroist can be any kind of person. It isn't specific enough that you can just centralize the problem like the Nazis, KKK, or the Mafia.

I never even mentioned terrorism and in fact talked about nations that were constantly having problems with other nations. Speciafically, I was thinking about Israel-Palestine and Russia-Chechnya. I was only talking about something that Pimphand said that jumped out at me. Your condescension is appreciated as always though.

Certainly Glynch, you can not be calling the civilians that are getting blown up over there anything more than victims.

Perhaps you can shed some light on your comment.

No one that I knows thinks Israel (the government) is innocent, but the people that are getting blown up on buses and at pizzarias are certainly innocent.

Killing civilians is horrible. Targetting them is unexcusable. It doesn't matter what the cause. Nothing makes that justifiable.

I do wonder what to classify the Israeli Settlers as. Many are militant, and want to drive all Palestinians away, and don't believe that the Palestinians have any right to any part of the land. Obvously the children of Settlers are brought up in this environment, but there is no excuse for bombing an area where they might be present.

Other Settlers, though, are prehaps deserving of their own category. They are the ones on land outside of Israel, and often the most die-hard anti-Palestinian in their sentiments. They are believe there is no way for a peaceful solution, and want all of the Palestinians gone. They themselves have formed at least one terrorist organization, and carried out several attacks against Palestinian civilians, and attempted others. Israel does a better job curtailing their efforts than Palestinians do of curtailing their terrorists.

    written by Danielle Slutzky

takes place in Alfred Lerner Cinema

    sponsored by Netzach Yisrael

with the assistance of Columbia Chabad and Hasbara Fellowships, an Israel advocacy group

Debi Horowitz, CC ’04, was one of the mostly Jewish students in attendance

seems like an awful lot of organization and cooperative effort to reassure and convince yourself that only the other side's well choreographed propaganda is to blame ;)

Pretty funny that I have a good friend w/ the same exact last name....and she's also a journalist! But what's really funny is that hot as this girl is, not in a million years could you ever get her to put out. She's uh, saving herself until she gets married.
