I wouldnt throw reed in, but instead I wohld throw adams and give them picks. I think with a rim protector reed wont get expose. Because the lineup with reed and alp the defense drops off big time.
That is why I say it is poorly constructed - Sengun and Amen both are talented and good, but they are also both limited in ways that make it difficult to fit pieces around them in the modern NBA. As for Smith, he isn't or at least hasn't been a good enough shooter to fix the issue. Well when you have non three point shooters like Sengun, Amen and just wait until FVV is added to the mix.... and then your next guy up is mediocre at it (Smith) - you are basically left with KD and sometimes Reed. This organization overall has suffered from a lack of cultural identity -- but right now this group doesn't know who they are or what their success is predicated on. In the past, with Udoka it was defense and toughness and that isn't the case right now. Capela getting rebounds doesn't mean a lot to me because he isn't defending anyone - he isn't great at protecting the lane, and on offense he is really limited. I would have played him more, but he isn't the defender, screen setter or the motor that Adams is.
Spurs have issues but at least they have a direction. Castle will be eventually traded for a shooter as it's the only thing they are really missing. Harper is way way better than him as a prospect and should start over him soon. They also play more free than the Rockets do. We tried to rock the boat too early. I think we've screwed ourselves with FVV and KD. They don't let the kids develop. Edwards and SGA and Wemby are being allowed to develop unfettered. The only player we've actually allowed to develop correctly was Jalen ****ing Green lol.
I dunno what the consensus is out there, but what I saw in the second half was that all the Spurs guards were allowed to defend like Dort and Caruso, just hacking at wrists non-stop with zero whistles until they were inconsequential to the outcome of the game. I'm going to step back from watching games for a while. I'm tired of letting rich people dictate my mood when I'm more free from their clutches in every other aspect of my life. The NBA is the most rigged leagues of all the big sports leagues, and it's due to the people at the top that they have with this unbreakable grip on it. And apparently they hate Houston and love all our foils like the cities of LA, San Francisco, and for some inexplicable reason (apparently David Stern may have had a mistress in that town?) San Antonio. Like the FIFA leadership, they'll never step down, so outside of playing the actual sport of basketball and having fun, I'm just going to let those people do their own thing without my patronage.
Can anyone tell me why Capela wasn't played more last night? I know it probably wouldn't have made any difference. But both of our centers are injured, the third string guy only logged in 7 minutes. Weird.
you guys act like these 23 year old guys are what they will always be. The impatience of Clutchfans boggles my mid.
FVV isnt even playing. JG has played one game and 3 mins. We would be the ones screwed if we didnt get KD, wed be giving a lotto pick to OKC and everybody would lose their minds.
Udoker yank Reed soon as he do something while leave him in the game when he is getting roasted. He must have something against him at this point
