You're good people. I wouldn't sweat it. Appreciate your input. We're all fans at the end of the day.
There's no "right" for Codman. He's not predicting anything. He's just telling us what he heard from people closer to the Rockets than most of us.
What? Every single thread I've ever seen you post is literally just pages and pages of people telling you you're wrong. You're worse than DD, and it's actually not close.
You have literally no intel. Provide one example of any "intel" you've had coming true. One single time, post links.
Thanks! Some guy went off on me with language similar to KD in the Phoenix game and I responded back calling him a moron and next thing I knew is that they took away my posting privileges. Classic NBA technique of getting the guy who pushes back after he was pushed first. Like I said it surprised me because I ha multiple 100 page posts that should be good for Clutch and the site. Many of my posts were not politically loved by the admins because they were anti-Silas and anti-Stone, but I never cursed or used derogatory language just said that the Rockets need to upgrade both spots. Obviously was right about Silas and we’ll see with Stone (who is a better lawyer than GM). Appreciate your support and take care!
No problem. Anything Antonio Solas should have been met with praise. I'm not a Stone person either. Doesn’t sound like you did anything wrong. Just keep posting. Dave is a reasonable guy. Probably contact him and he'll reinstate your privileges. It might only be a temp ban
Once again, this thread proves to be true......no matter what a bunch of Ime bootlickers say..... KD is not THE answer, we need a TEAM oriented approach, and we keep trying to force feed a 37 year old poor passer the ball at the top of the key, where he is clogging it up for others. We are using KD wrongly for the most part, and we are an easy guard......we have no system to speak of on offense. Glad folks are waking up to this crappy coach and his ISO system. DD
Obviously just speculation but I’d love an off-ramp and reset the timeline. We are not ready to win now: Anthony Morrow on Kevin Durant: I think he's going to end his career in Oklahoma City Jan. 29, 2026, 8:39 AM PST Anthony Morrow: Our fans are the greatest fans on Earth, any sport to me. And you know, it is what it is. And not a hot take, but I'm going to just say this: Honestly, I think Kevin Durant is going to end his career in Oklahoma City like when he's done. Q. Really? You think so? Morrow: Yeah. I think Kev is going to come back to Oklahoma City for real. YouTube
the answer was apparently to stay patient and keep building. But KD has been as advertised. And we got off that bad Jalen Green contract. the key now is not to compound the issue. We aren’t ready to contend and we are going to waste a yr of KD. I say there’s still time to reset. But if we put our head in the sand we are just gonna make things worse. Time to reset the timeline this offseason. We are not a FVV coming off injury away from contending. That’s delusional.
No one is talking about NOT making the trade, just be HONEST with what we are getting back and build around those strengths and realize a 37 year old Durant is a GREAT shooter, but not GREAT at anything else anymore - he conserves energy by not tracking back on D, he is a poor handler of the ball, it has slowed down to where quicker smaller players are causing him problems and he can't get by most anyone anymore. That doesn't mean he SUCKS it means he is closer to Eddie Johnson at this stage than Michael Jordan. KD is a jump shooter, and a damned good one, so set up an offense that takes advantage of that and stop asking him to be a 29 year old KD who could do it all, he can't anymore. DD
KD is currently 3rd in the entire NBA in mpg at age 37…behind 2 guys that are way younger than him in Maxey and Amen Thompson Ime Thibodeau recently played KD 44 and 41 minutes on a B2B this is malpractice this is like taking your old car on a road trip with the check engine light and the rest of the dashboard lit up…don’t be surprised when it breaks down and you end up stranded
Not to mention KD when fresh shoots great, when he gets fatigued, his shot is short, we should be playing him Max 28-30mpg. DD
These takes are getting desperate. Durant's TS% is 66% in the 4Q this season and his 3P% is highest when he plays 40+ minutes
Same as playing Sengun when he is hurt. Ime actually looked pissed at Sengun when he came up lame. Players coach my ass.
I feel like they only entertain trading for him if they get bounced in the first or second round. Also no way Stone trades KD at the deadline IMO. I could see it happening in the offseason if we also have a disappointing playoffs and KD is up for it. I wouldn't necessarily just grab a few draft picks from them though. I would hold out for J-Dub and hope it's the second coming of the Harden trade. Or I guess if the Clippers pick somehow lands in the top 4. But that's not looking very likely.
okc is going to win another title this year. There is not a chance in the universe that they are trading for 37 year old Duranti
Meh… I think this take is a little over dramatic. I don’t think him being on the roster hurts anything. It just exposes how much more Sengun, Amen, Bari, and Reed have to go. Because yes KD’s usage in recent months is sky high compared to what it was early in the season when Sengun was playing like a 1A star with a defense around him. So it’s really the fault of the young guys not taking that step up as the season goes on and yeah Ime too for not developing a more robust team offense. I want KD for next season and the season after where hopefully we are fully healthy and the young core finally takes this big leap forward. If Amen could shoot a little and Reed and Sengun could defend their positions consistently we are there and KD is the perfect vet scorer. Im at the point now where after the all star break I would consider sitting him in about half our games or just not play on the road at all. The league won’t allow that but it’s what I’d like to see to make sure he doesn’t wear down and have a terrible injury like an Achilles.
He did the exact same **** with Fred. I genuinely think he uses them as a crutch to make up for his offensive shortcomings. Take Fred off last year and he couldn't coach the team to a bucket half the time, same for KD this year. I don't think it's a bad conclusion that he's running them into the ground to prop up his lack of chops.
