you cant trade Jabari this year because of his poison pill. With us hard capped at the first apron it is almost impossible to come up with a reasonable trade. I can understand the frustration with him, but we have plenty of other guys that are tradeable with draft picks attached.

I’d give Eason for White. That’s a pretty square deal honestly. Both play well when healthy, both expecting a bigger payday. They need forwards and we need guards.

Looking forward- lineup of FVV, White, Amen, KD, Sengun makes a lot of sense. Jabari has to prove it or move it. Reed as a 6th man. 2 guys who could drop 20 off the bench. Amen as the 3.

Defense would suck ass but offense would be a legit attack.

I guess the biggest trepidation around getting Coby White is his defense. The question is whether he can become an average defender if placed within our team's culture. What he does bring is, on offense, basically a better version of what we were getting from Jalen Green. Better shooting, better consistency from game to game, better passing. That would be pretty useful for this team, which could use more playmaking on the perimeter and especially more guys who legitimately have to be defended closely on the perimeter or they will burn you.

White has like a 5ft wing span.

wouldn’t want him on this team

Aaron Holiday and Jaesean Tate have built in no-trade clauses, right?

Coby White would be an upgrade on Reed Sheppard’s current role. The Rockets need good games consistently from Sheppard to beat elite teams, and, like many young players, he’s just not there yet.

I completely agree with you that adding another ball handler and passer will help the Rockets. The Spurs destroyed the Rockets’ offense in the fourth quarter due to ball pressure. White is more of a combo/scoring guard, but he has the handles to help against ball pressure, traps and presses.
