It isnt Ime its the personel. Amen is the only player on this team that brings the wood on both sides (except shooting, skill issue). KD has to look up the word "close out" in the dictionary, Tari doesnt know what a dictionary is, Alpy followed the ref to his hotel last night complaining about a call he shouldve gotten so he could proceed to brick both free throws, Reed couldn't man up to a chihuahua right now and DFS/Capela are wearing concrete shoes. Jabari is still learning to color within the lines.
Last yr he was a COACH OF THE YR CANDIDATE and now he's garbage?? That does not add up! Personally, I never wanted the trade. You had a young team that was growing, they had an identity and they were on OKC tails, all they needed was another scorer, which ironically is what I think we still need. KD is great but the cost was too great.
Ime ran basically the same system last yr with Jalen and we were 2nd in the West but people complained about him being too inconsistent. I said it last yr and I continue to say it, he was a threat to score anywhere on the court; outside, mid-range or at the rim. We don't have that now. KD is 3pt and mid-range, Sengun is at the rim, Amen mid -range and at the rim.....we need a player who can score at ALL three levels. Stone said at the start of the season, they were counting on Reed bigtime this yr, because they lost Jaleen.....obviously, he's not it. That's why they're going after Coby White.
This game may have convinced Stone to make a trade. Whether that's a good thing or not is still a question. Will he do the right thing and get a moderately priced guard than can play defense and consistently knock down 3 pointers or will henmake a panic move and blow up our young core for some over-priced vet that will improve our chances this year but still wont be able to overcome OKC?
I knew when Tari was standing over Kornet doing whatever the hell he was doing we would lose. We stopped playing basketball and started puffing egos.
While this is probably true, the only trade piece that should be dangled is Tari, DFS, or members of the stay ready crew. Outside of that we need to keep those PHX and BKN picks for an eventual Durant pivot.
We have to get a point guard. We can’t keep trying to initiate the offense with KD or Sengun 35 feet away from the basket. I like Reed a lot, but he’s just not there yet. With any defensive pressure like he saw last night he gets punked. I don’t think it’s been any clearer. This team needs a floor general. That’s literally our only weakness. Well, other than Amen’s shooting but carry on….
This is why the Rockets need a guard like Coby White, Collin Sexton or Anfernee Simons. Reed Sheppard has his good games, but the Rockets need them on a consistent basis to get opponents out of their junk defenses. Having a more consistent version plus what Sheppard can provide would really help this team. Adding another guard that can keep their dribble against ball pressure like San Antonio was using in the fourth quarter would also help the offense. That ball pressure destroyed any offensive possession the Rockets had.
the phrase you are searching for is “teabagging”. I probably would have done a lot more than just grab Tari’s leg if I was getting teabagged by my opponent.
i agree with this, if you are just playing for this year. if you are looking to the future all the other factors come into play, like how much is he going to cost, what will the return be, can he stay on the court, can we re-sign him.
No rockets fan should be able to live with themselves if Bari is locked in for 4 more years at $24 mil per while Tari walks. But I hear you on the number of factors we don’t have the information to know. I just think it looks like we committed to the far worse player.

I said "one of" the biggest collapses. READ. The 2016 Thunder earned their place in history. They weren't young. They had been good/great for years. In Brooklyn, KD had Kyrie vs Boston and got swept, 1st round, in the East -- not a collapse, but very underachieving. KD is not particularly clutch. Stop trying to re-write history. Rockets offensive improvement is equally players' individual improvement as much as adding KD.
