One of Amen or Sengun has to go. Can't have 2 non shooters in today's NBA. While I think Amen is the better overall player, finding shooting centers who are capable defenders is pretty tough. It would be, in a way, easier to build a championship roster by moving Amen. Hard decision to make, but the sooner the Rockets realise this, the better. That won't happen with Ime as a head coach though - too defensive oriented and stubborn to understand it. F the regular season. Can you imagine both players sharing the court in the playoffs? Our offense will ALWAYS be bad when it matters the most with no spacing.
Yes, especially when all the Spurs did in the 2nd half was to attack the paint. Ime's lack of in-game adjustments is infuriating.
Fred's injury was a catastrophic loss, regarding true contention. It was bad enough losing Brooks, but Fred is the PG version of Brooks.... on a team with no real PG, no leadership, and no real experience.
For everyone who keeps saying a pg will fix this, I got a newsflash for you our offense was WORSE last year when we had FVV, the defense is what won us games the offense was putrid. So its not really a pg issue it is a shooting issue and a coaching issue. Stone added KD who is one of the best shooters thats why the offense improved so much but the substandard coaching still remains.and our guys just arent shooting. Jabari was 2/5 why didnt he shoot more? 4/10 maybe we would have won the game if things played differently. Its up to Ime to monitor and tell the team these things.
KD has more experience than FVV and FVV is still on the bench to provide that leadership. This is just cope the offense last year was worse ranked with FVV we never got top 10 in offense all year. Instead of just relying on the optics you should look at the actual data first to see if it matches your opinion.
They trade Amen and I stop watching this team too many broken pieces I don’t think trading Amen will fix anything. He has the highest upside out of anyone and seems to be the only one that doesn’t collapse mentally under pressure
just look at GS series - they doubled JG and dared Alpi and Amen to beat them … only other game we won was the FVV game… Ime kept saying 4 on 3 we should win every time but they couldn’t hit nothing in paint
The forcing the ball to Durant and Sengun at all costs doesn’t work. I really don’t like how they all do this including Durant and Sengun. This team needing Colby White is an understatement
KD lacks leadership and defense in general. Rockets offensive improvement is equally players' individual improvement as much as the KD addition.
I have always said this. I really don’t think him and Amen can co exist. I truly believe Giannis and turner will bring us a championship or at least a trip to the finals. Giannis plays faster than Sengun. He can attack from almost anywhere. He plays like a combo guard without the 3 pt shot. He’s a better passer to the perimeter than Sengun which opens up the half court more. He can run the break better. I think he just makes quicker decisions than Sengun in terms of passing whether outside or in the paint. Also a lob threat. His game might work with Amen because of this. I say pull the trigger. Sengun, Sheppard and Jabari for Giannis and Turner. Prob have to wait in the off-season if there’s no imminent deal. This will completely change the trajectory of the Rockets
I like Alp, but trading for Giannis would gut the roster too much. I’m also not trying to pay Myles Turner $25M, even though I understand the need for a stretch 5 next to him. I’d rather have Bobby Portis, he fits the Ime mold way more. I wouldn’t trade Reed. I think he could be really good if he had a legit rim protector behind him to cover for his defensive flaws. I dont think Greek wants to go to the west, he knows how tough it is seeing what is going on with Lebron. I would love to have Ant but thats his wishful thinking.
Have to give something to get something. Giving up reed sengun possibly Smith isn’t gutting the roster. Giannis isn’t a 5. Neither is Portis. This is why you need a stretch 5 that can defend the paint. It’s worth it. Either continue to be a 4-6 seed and not go anywhere or get a guy who can get you a ring. Sheppard simply isn’t good enough right now. Goal is winning now. He needs to go. Either get Giannis or trade Amen for an all star guard. There’s no other way for this team I’m convinced.
KD is literally a league leader in defensive FG%. Again, you need to check the stats because as humans we are prone to bias and tend to see what we want to see when we watch. Dont tell me lowering your opponents FG% when you are guarding him means you are a bad defender lol wtf
KD must be severely lacking in intangibles. He's consistently on teams that underachieve. He lacks the clutch gene for sure.. or he's at best, average.
