The little things add up. Unfortunately for this team it’s 2 main things. TO’s and not being able to convert off their TO’s. On top of that a lot of easy buckets around the rim missed.
I have been saying that this team does not need a PG, they need another scorer. This is an ISO team w/o any scoring off the bench. If KD and Alpi are not scoring, who else is scoring? All they need is a bench and a 3rd center
Senguin's **** attitude is really starting to wear on me I said it earlier today, trading into this years draft and getting high unprotected picks isn't a bad idea
What I don’t get is Amen’s passiveness when he’s away from the rim more than 10 ft. wide open. It’s like he panics and just forces handoffs or passes. I haven’t seen a player like this in the NBA. It’s sad and predictable to me when a player can’t do anything at that point but looking to hand it off or pass. I love Amen but I say it again. The problem with this team is his inability to shoot greater than 8 ft. It hurts this team since its 5 against 4 if he’s away from the rim and doesn’t have a driving angle or lane. Combine this with Sengun who can’t shoot more than 10-12 ft. You have a very predictable and defendable offense.
DFS got 20 minutes tonight with 0/2/0 numbers. Capela had only 8 minutes after Adams out this season. **** you Ime again.
The Rockets missed almost everything in the fourth once the Spurs went to this strategy. With Wembanyama parked in in the paint area playing zone, Amen should have come out and Reed or another shooter should have gone in to bust the one-man deep zone. Not adjusting at all is bad coaching.
Just got back from that debacle downtown. My take away is....you can't consistently win the NBA with only one player who can confidently bring the ball up under pressure. Secondly, Ime looked like the rookie coach out there with his weird lineups, missing the opportunity to review a few plays, or not getting into the refs on a few egregious misses on their part. Thirdly, Amen needs some help. If Tari is on the bench, poor Amen has to play like a mad man on defense to cover for his teammates. Lastly, from a live vantage point, they're only 3 players on this team that actually look like they are hustling on both offense and defense. Not because they're not trying but because they've not gifted enough to go full out on offense or defense. With that said, we need to change the roster or just hope it improves with Fred's reinstatement. Either way, this current roster needs another dog out there who can handle the ball and put pressure on the rim like Dillon Harper.
