it’s not my $; I’d see White gone from Bullsland than Ayo, tho Ayo might be a better get due to the next contract. The FO can work those deets after the Rox make a legit run for a Parade.
- Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu, Tre Jones have drawn trade interest; White is most likely to be moved - Wolves remain interested in White; more willing to move Rob Dillingham than Mike Conley - Suns exploring market for a power forward - Lakers have shown willingness to trade Rui Hachimura - Cavs have engaged in trade talks around De’Andre Hunter - Bucks have gauged market for Bobby Portis
“There are discussions,” Udoka said when asked if Houston would add a big man. “People are calling non-stop, but if we don’t, it depends on what’s out there. But I think we are totally fine going with Clint and our small-ball lineups if need be. But let’s see what shakes out. Like I said, people are calling more for our guys than us reaching out.”
jus grab some old azz guard that can still shoot... we already got Amen, Tari and Reed runnin around all crazy... we need the calming influence that we are missing from FVV... someone who will slow sh*t down and get us in a half court set for a high % bucket when the kids arent running and gunning on the transition buckets... somebody cheap who's willing to mentor to try to stretch out their career for another couple of years... i know its not the 'sexy' choice... everybody wants some kid that they're sure is just gonna explode... but that aint what we need... we need someone that can set the table, make good decisions and provide some consistent shooting for 15-20 minutes a night...
More small ball is the way. We have plenty of length. on one hand Clint is a great value at 7 million per. however, you could almost get the same value for a minimum contract if you chose right. it’s hard to describe. I also think there is some room for Clint to get better as he now has a defined role. Trade Adams/FVV and a pretty valuable draft asset for a tangible upgrade this year. we don’t have to go all in per se, but more and more I think about it the more I want to try to capitalize on this year as well Adams/FVV/
Clint has an opportunity to finally play his way into shape. We could see Clint emerge in a very similar way to what we saw last season w Adams. An in-shape Clint rebounds as good as Adams and provides lateral spacing for Sheppard and Reed. I also think Clint changes more shots at the rim, but that is just my eyes guessing.
