Along with Fox. Spurs can become title favorites right now if they traded Castle, if I'm Milwaukee I'm asking for Harper tho.
If he were 28-29 I'd be on the hell yes right now wagon. But he's 31 and injury prone. He's been hurt literally every season since the ship. Twice with relatively serious injuries on non-contact plays just this season. I'm just not that desperate.
The Rockets are one of the four best teams in the NBA, and the only team I would take over them in a seven-game series is the Oklahoma City Thunder. They are a contender who just happens to play in a loaded conference with the best team in the sport. If they were in the Eastern Conference, they would easily be the favorite to make the NBA Finals this season. That said, the Rockets can ill afford to allow Giannis to end up in either San Antonio or Oklahoma City. So, I don’t buy that they are not interested in pursuing him.
even with the extra Jabari adds in a trade this year? Well the offers I see out there are pathetic. Heat, jaquez. Warrior kuminga
The only thing that would scare is the training staff.. Milwaukee wants to trade him now cus they know he’s damaged goods. I’d be shocked if he plays the rest of the season for whichever team trades for him. His literally looked like he tore his Achilles in October and now it’s a reoccurring injury.
We are not beating a healthy Denver either and it's a toss up against SA and a healthy Wolves. We could easily be a first round exit
I consider the Thunder, Rockets, Spurs and a healthy Nuggets team the four best teams in the NBA. I would favor the Thunder over the Rockets and have Spurs-Rockets and Nuggets-Rockets series as toss ups. Therefore, what you are saying about the Rockets also applies to the Spurs and Nuggets. The Rockets are better than a healthy Timberwolves team, as it stands.
It will be a toss-up with non-OKC contenders. Maybe 60-40 one way or the other. I slightly prefer matchups with the Wolves and Denver. Wemby...I think he will force the Rockets to shoot, and the Rockets lean defense over shooting. I'd give Spurs the 60-40 edge. I see a lot of Game 7s and opinions (including mine) being wrong. Other than OKC being really good, I would not sell out on the other teams being sure-fire bets to get out of the 1st or 2nd round against a hard opponent.
do you guys not get sick of rooting for mercenaries? cultivate home drafted players and win with them. i already hate rooting for KD. I dont want to root for Giannis.
Yeah I ran this through the trade machine and I think it's the best deal for both teams. Unless someone can think of a better young player out there that the Bucks could get in a Giannis trade??? I can't. Tari also is a low risk pickup for the Bucks, and gets the Rockets out of the tough choice this summer with his contract situation. The big thing really is how nervous the Bucks will be about Adams' contract, and how many picks Stone has to give up to make it happen. My guess is he probably has to give up FOUR first rounders at least which is a tough pill to swallow. The Rockets will have very few avenues for continuing to add young talent, and I don't love Stone's track record with G-League/2nd rounder development projects. There will be ALOT of Nix type of players cycling through this team in the coming years. I think you have to do this though if the Bucks will accept it. It gives them a pretty fun and competitive team in the East for sure as well. Especially if Tari is healthy, and Adams can give them minutes next year.
