I think we can and should move Steveo. We can’t expect him to make an impact this season/postseason. He’s honestly not the best fit with Sengun and the rest of our roster because he can’t shoot at all, can’t protect the rim, can’t switch. And let’s all be honest, the double big has been less effective this yr. It also cogs the lane for Amen and further imperils our shooting, which u don’t want to do when ur two best young core players are non-shooters. Teams that are loading up to be competitive next year will be lining up for 2yrs/$26 mil of Steveo. Stone needs to convert Adams into an upgrade for the roster.
Yep, I concur, if we knew we were getting Capela we should not have signed Adams, hell Jock would be great here with his 40% 3pt shooting. DD
Ime wanted to run the two bigs. Landale would actually be a better fit for that, but not in Ime’s mind.
Ime is a fool, I am convinced he can't see the forest through the trees..... Defense only is Ime, we need a balance, we need guys that can score the ball.....the entire point of the game of basketball is to score, we need to lean into those that are good at that and watch how much we pull away from teams. You can't play 3 guys that are non-shooters on the floor at once, that is stupid and at times Ime has 4 or sometimes 5. DD
It’s been more or less 2 weeks. Any updates on Adams? I couldn’t find any and nobody is talking about it.
Teams that are going to be competitive next year are also likely trying to be competitive this year. It's not going to be easy to find a team that don't want to win this year but will want to compete next year. Even more so that they take on an injury-riddled player who's can't be counted on to play a full season. And even if there is such a team, they know they have the Rockets over a barrel when it comes to leverage. Adams is definitely a negative contract at this point.
