Please name the last five years relevant trade deadline moves by Stone. I’ll help you out…..here they are:
The Rockets can have him for a good FRP. He is strictly a rental for us. We will not re-sign him. I doubt Stone will drop a FRP for a rental, especially one that doesn’t play defense (Ime will object).
pretty much this. Stone is as careful as they come. We love our team blablabla conversations came up blablabla we had a few offers blablabla we'll revisit in the offseason blablabla
Agree on DFS, and I think he will show up in the playoffs. I just hope you are wrong about Reed. Love Coby, but personally, I wouldn't move Reed this early. I do agree on the third scorer, but for me, it would need to be Jabari who moves. Though I think that's a bit hard due to his contract. I might be underestimating Bari's defensive impact, though.
Matching salaries with Eason as part of the trade is difficult. Excluding Tari, It will take 2 players with DFS being one or just Adams to get a deal done. Tari would require 2 or 3 fillers and then we couldn’t meet the roster requirements. If Tari is part of the package we need a third team. Coby doesn’t play defense so I think this rumor is bs. If anything they want Ayo which I don’t believe the Bulls will trade. We still have 3 really good draft picks to barter with. I think the Rockets are doing what they always do and just teasing trades to appease the fans. “We were close” type crap. They’ll probably sign a buyout for the minimum that won’t move the needle.
DFS plus the Suns pick should get it done. Whether Stone is willing to surrender a FRP is a big question mark.
I don't see how the Rockets send out an FRP for a potential rental. Intriguing player, but hasn't he had calf issues lately?
Throwing away a FRP for a rental would be so sad and stupid, hopefully he's not a rocket this season.
If you truly think they'd entertain trading Reed for a guy who will become a UFA in 5 months and reportedly ask for $30MM+ per year, you've lost your mind. For any team with championship aspirations and limited cap flexibility, White is strictly a rental.
Terrible assist ratio but above average shooting efficiency... and... well, who is he replacing? Defense? Get him for a decent price, now.
