I'd rather be in the mix for Ayo Dosonmu - but that would be Tari, a vet, a 1st and probably that 2nd via Chicago. And you gotta pay him, probably means DFS get flipped for whatever hamburger some team will offer. Still, I'd do it. Coby White feels like the version of Jalen Green that didn't get to rely on athleticism. He's a little more efficient and polished. I wonder where they're at with his injury too... I'd offer Tari + DFS + 2nd via Chicago and see where that gets me on the leaderboard.
Love Steve O but I am into trading him for sure. I guess I’m into keeping Fred, but I do wish for another player that can get to the rim.
White's gotta be one of the most consistent shooters in the league, year over year. 37% for his career, 37% over the last two years, 37.2% over the last four years. Bet it falls off a cliff once he's in Houston though.
I think thats who they trade. Adams gives you something you need for the playoffs...Rebounding DFS would be hard to move, based upon his contract. I think the Rockets need more consistent shooting, a third scorer! But Im.just a fan, so we'll see
DFS doesn't have much value outside of salary matching, probably does take "significant draft compensation" to make this a reality. It's not often ANY front office signs a guy and trades him half a season later, but there are extenuating circumstances due to the FVV injury that may prompt something out of the ordinary. I think Ayo is the better long term fit, maybe not the best right now fit .... but FVV, Reed and Ayo would be solid guard rotation next year. He's just not the pure point guard this team might need - Right Now. Both players are in contract years .... but either come with bird rights.
Call me crazy, but Adams plus a 2nd for White is not terrible deal for the Bulls. They have 0 centers on the roster next season, and have suffered this season with bigs who offer nothing defensively. White is probably gone anyway, and Adams gas 2 more years on his deal. It gives the Bulls something to work with. We would obviously then need to search for a 2nd/3rd string big in the buyout market. I have this strong gut feeling that Lob Williams signs with us in the summer anyway....
Why do Chicago want to move him. He’s locked up on a great contract and young. He fits that timeline of their core
Yeah.... he want us, but why do we want a 33% career 3pt shooter who has establisged himself over many years as a volume chucker.... no thankyou
Maybe because of our cap space and need of a PG. Beggars can't be choosers besides we just need a rental for FVV I meant he can't be worse than some of y'all who wants washed cp3 back.
They have a very guard heavy imbalanced roster and White is kinda redundant and about to expire and looking for a big payday. The Rockets have forward sized wings. It's a got match in terms of positional fit for both teams.
