They voted for this, but in their imaginations, it looked different, even though there was massive evidence and repeated statements/writings from those around Trump that, if allowed, would clearly lead to this point. Now that it is clearly the losing team, support is cratering. Many have said that after a few years, it would be hard to find someone who admitted to voting for Trump. It has taken much longer than I expected, but I think we are finally on that road. Still, a lot of pain and death before we get to a good rest stop though. Again, yes. They voted for this. They may have voted for it to happen to other people and be done in such a way that we didn't see it, but they voted for this. They also voted for the many other ways we are committing national suicide and making the world and the country less safe and predictable. And they will be marked by that vote for a lifetime. That said, I welcome any converts. I doubt you can fully make up for the damage you've already done, but today would be a good day to start trying.
